For the 2023 model year, Mazda offers this new Zircon Sand Metallic paint, a $395 option, and I’m not hating it. It most certainly adds a unique personality to a car you’d expect to see in something more ostentatious such as the brand’s heralded Soul Red.

I've had my 2023 MX-5 for one year now and my love of this car just seems to grow with every day. This is the best car i have ever had.And i've owned some go ones.

Many years ago I became a sportscar enthusiast, buying my 1st car, a 1964 MGB, then a 1966 MGB, then was drafted, got married, then children, then schooling, then practicing my trade at the time, providing for my family. I couldn't enjoy another drive back then, but soon after my divorce, found a real live sportscar, a 2016 Mazda MX-5, then a '17 and then a '19 and finally a 2023, Platinum Quartz w/Terracotta Napa Leather seats! I had it for damned near a year when someone hit me, doing 55 mph. That car was totaled. It took a little over a month to find another MX-5, Platinum Quartz w/Terracotta Napa Leather seats, so I am now on my 5th MX-5. I've added a short 4" antenna and the Goodwin RoadsterSport Race muffler, it's perfection is all I can say. "PERFECTION".

Sad to see that we live in a world where there are no competitors for this car, thanks to a lack of demand, which is probably the root reason. Hope to see a new version of the Miata soon. Cheers, M

OMG. That color of that paint literally look's like snot and dirt mixed together. So disappointed in Mazda's drab colors for such a sporty agile car. 😕

Thanks for the video. I came to know that there is no spare tire on the MX-5!!! I was planning to order the 2025 later on this year, but spare tire is a must have for me! What is the workaround for this?

The Zircon Sand is an acquired taste….but the car, no matter the color, is an absolute blast to drive. I have a ‘21 RF Club BBR, my 6th Miata sin 2001, and by far the best. Btw, I’m 6’, 200lbs and I fit just fine. 37mpg makes it all the more enjoyable.

Not a fan of that color, but the newly updated/refreshed 2024 model year version Mazda MX-5/Miata is worth looking at IMO. Great vehicle if you can comfortably fit into it & don't mind being in a tiny vehicle on U.S. roadways full of large, obnoxious Trucks, Crossovers & SUV's.

This car will be highly sought after if the EVs take over, for as fast as they are, there are no technological advances on the horizon to make a lightweight battery; and forget rowing your own. Buy 2. One to drive, and one to keep as an investment.

Mazda has lost the plot for colours. I'm so glad to have a 30AE..but BRG, yellow, mariner blue.. so many good options and we get 50 shades of gray and this puke colour disaster. If you're going to drive an extroverted car, give it an extroverted colour!
