Welcome to the final playoff event of the 2023 DGPT season! We are at Maple Hill DGC for the MVP Open Presented By OTB. This is a 4 round event being held from September 14-17th. This event will set the field for the DGPT Championship.

Matty had no idea of the scores on the course once we got past hole 11. We knew the scores on the chase card only. Nobody had a phone that could get coverage. So he was just playing each hole against the course (as you should) and focusing hard on EVERY putt. That mindset earned him a well-deserved, long overdue (13 yrs but who's counting?) championship at Maple Hill. LFG !!

One of my first favorites to watch live on this exact course at the first live disc golf tournament I ever attended. He and Schusterick were tearing this place up back in the day...and Matty was doing that before Will even came to Massachusetts. Couldn't happen to a nicer, more interesting player. Curious if the commentators were restricted from talking about the context of the lead card or the championship itself? I heard no commentary giving context, instead it was covered like a round 1 game. Good vibe though.
