Today, I'm setting up a NEW Bullet Journal for 2023. This is definitely a more labour intensive bujo plan with me, so if you're looking for a minimalist bujo setup, just skip the painting parts as the spreads I'm setting up are still very useful for new bullet journalers.
I am using watercolour for all of my spreads today, continuing my yearly colour palettes.

Ohh!!! Please don’t think you need to be creative to start!! I have many minimalist bullet journal spreads on my channel (they’re in a single playlist) or even have a look at my very first ever bujo Flipthrough! I also wasn’t very “creative” back then, I’ve developed my style and creativity over many years!

amazing, from the thumbnail I really thought "wow archer came up with such a pretty cover??" legit thought it was a perfect digital motif design, the colors, forms, the white gouche popping and just everything is so so prettyyyy

I will say, i find it very relaxing WATCHING you paint hehe. But I do want to try the concept of drawing out a pattern as a way to relax.

I am so glad you gave the realistic insight into how long a setup like this takes! It's gorgeous but a person needs to know how much time they need to achieve it - my setups take under an hour because I get bored with it if I do anything more elaborate but seeing this piece of art is so satisfying and impressive!

Another bujo person I saw sold their 2023 spread as a print out notebook and that would be an amazing idea for your gorgeous spread!!! Even if it’s a downloadable printout and people can take it to office works to bind themselves.

I did like this video -- however, once we've seen the leaves painted, we could speed through that much more quickly. This should've been a fifteen minute video. Very beautiful & thoughtful & useful.

For that quote page, you could give a white drop shadow and it'll help the blue pop off the page a little bit. Your journal is really pretty!

C'est trop beau, ce thème bleuté est magnifique ! C'est top de changer de façon d'incorporer les feuillages à chaque double page, un coup au centre, un coup en bannière, un coup dans un angle, ça reste cohérent entre les pages tout en variant le style, je suis fan.

Do you find that the A&O pages wrinkle a lot with watercolors? I am using watercolor in my bullet journal for the first time this year and LOVE how they look, but the pages wrinkle and warp quite a bit. I am using a cheaper journal though.

Hi! I think that just like any journal that isn’t specifically made for watercolour it’ll crinkle a bit, but A&O journals don’t crinkle as much as the 80gsm leuchtturm for example! If you check out my Instagram (@verobujo) you’ll see that my key page has a bit of wrinkle from the watercolour on the other page though! But I feel that it is quite minor, and by keeping the journal closed it helps!

how do you keep the page from crumpling? I have an A & O notebook and got such buckling of the paper. Is it the amount of water I used?? This is simply gorgeous - can't wait to try it!

They do crumple, so the way I kept it flat was by closing the journal and putting a heavy book on top of it! Unfortunately it doesn’t keep it 100% flat. :/ but I find the more water you use the more buckling !

Thank you! There’s no real purpose, I just like having the calendar week on my weekly spreads, you’ll be able to see that in my monthly plan with me’s! But it’s not a necessary thing to have !

No stress! I use colour coded dots in the calendar side and then add the details on the blank space next to the calendar, that way the calendars aren’t overloaded with information! However it is my first time using this system, so it may turn out to be annoying! Guess I’ll find out ;)

I got them from notebook therapy! I have yet to actually use them, they don’t all adapt well to a dot grid notebook! But there’s a variety of them in one pack!
