I hardly disagree on Moore outside the top 10 even in a mock draft I mean he just has a tremendous offensive package of speed and overall offensive skills he has way less weaknesses than Benson and more likely Wood who's to me clearly not top 10 even if he still has an exciting ceiling tho but... wayyy too risky for top 10 selection not realistic at all IMHO

I really want the habs to have mitchov, we can wait 3 years for him because we're already in a rebuild and him and caufield on the same team will be insane

Beeing live at the under18 wc semifinals. So far i'm a little disapointed in Barlow, Wood and Allen. Wouldn't be surprised if Otto Stenberg will rise in the rankings. So far he was ranked in the 20st in most of these pre draftlotteries and I really hoped that he will be a NYRanger. No chance, he is pretty impressiv.

I feel Wood might be a good steal for a team that picks a bit lower similar to how the Habs got Cole Caufield.Yeah Benson is good but we are seeing a LOT more smaller players with high skill coming into the drafts of late but imo they are VERY risky because small players if not tough enough can look real bad in the NHL grind.Half the game is played on the boards or battling for th epuck there is very little wide open ice for the smaller players so yeah it's a risk to draft small guys.

When I do these my ducks always drop 2 maybe 1 out of 10 they keep the 1st but that’s what makes the draft cool no guarantees

He will likely not be drafted with a top pick. 3 years is too long for some teams and there is no guarantee he will come in north america.

Caps don’t deserve first overall, they had ovechkin all these years, just won the cup a couple of years ago, i think Anaheim deserves first pick wether they tanked or not

agreed.. most likely an elite forward to add with Eklund they struggled sooo bad to score this season except some few games so I really think they will prioritize a forward but who knows....

There is only one flaw well maybe two I saw in Conor versus his toughest competition the world juniors.First he is still a small forward and will struggle versus the big NHL D men.The more important flaw MIGHT not be the case as he gets older stronger but when over played he looked very tired and definitely lost a LOT of his ability when he was tired.Typical of great players he is stil ldangerous but his ability to recover after losing the puck disappeared he was very sluggish and make no mistake in the NHL he will be over played.Adding more to that one flaw is that the NHL is a MUCH longer grind including the playoffs than anything Conor has done so far. I am not at all sold on Fantilli he looked imo awful in the wjc and that was the best competition any of these gusy faced so far in their carewer and is the best way to judge these players because their competition will only get tougher. This is why it is so tough making predictions because these players have loads of weak spots to exploit in the junior ranks and the top players will also pad their stats versus those weak spots.

I didn't realize that Anaheim lost 13 in a row they definitely were tanking.This is why I can't stand the draft system I don't want any rewards for finishing poorly.The Oilers are the biggest abuser of the system at one point I believe they had 3 first picks in a row and still botched it all.

the ducks never picked 1st in their history. they made the decision to tank for Bedard when they drafted Mason Mctavish last year.

Lol he’s one of the most overrated prospects of the 2023 draft. He’ll go in the 16-20 range. Guy’s very limited. He’s got middle 6 winger written all over him

In this draft you can only move up 10 spots. Sabres have 2% chance of drafting 3rd overall. That won’t happen so better hope Bedard ends up in the west.

who ever has the best record in the last 30 games(or trade deadline) of non playoff teams determines the draft order. i pitch this every year, rewarding bad organizations is a little to socialistic for me, trade deadline would be much more interesting , fans would keep track and nobody would lose 13 in a row. have not reserched who would have won this year, but buffalo may have been top 3 ? lottery is non professional, and league could create interest for weeks as the season ends instead of a anticlimatic intermission drawing.

Nothing is rigged, but even if you think it is you can't say anything is rigged for Anaheim lmao. You argument would be invalid since they've dropped spots consistently in recent years and they missed out on Sid.
