Roof rails are use able . As per specs it can carry upto 50kg load and many owners are using it too. Few are also using rails to setup tents while camping. Pretty decent car and this NA engine is good enough for avg drivers , service me and my family well enough for almost two years now

Really nice review! Would like to take a moment to congratulate you for a very thoughtful and comprehensive Review. Looking to shell around 7.5 to 8 Lakh, the preference is good looking car with service centre available near me plus me being 6'2" in height need a car with decent interior height, the only car that makes sense to me is Magnite. Because i am not going to race neither gonna rev hard but i would go for the Manual Transmission solely because i would find the control in my hands, power is not an issue and VFM is a plus to me. I would pick XE and get it aftermarket modification for music and upholstery options.

Instead of 1.0 L 3Cylinder Petrol Engine It's preferable 1.2 L 3 Cylinder Petrol Engine to reduce knocking. on high speed.

I would like to buy magnite xe amt for my wife. But in the long run the sustainability of Nissan is doubtful which is worrisome. Presently owning 2 Chevrolet cars.

While Magnite is struggling to sell even a meagre 2000 unit per month compared to 14000 of Punch and 8000 of Exter, Kiger sales is worse at 3 digit only driving the production on the verge of discontinuation. This is very unfortunate considering the value and looks these 2 cars offer at this price. The main Problem with Magnite/Kiger: LACK OF PERIODIC UPGRADES AND FACELIFTS. Nissan and Renault greatly underestimate Indian customers. They still think that Indian car buyers are still living at 2005 and aren't concerned with periodic updates with more modernised looks and features. This misassumption is what will lead to their inevitable quitting from Indian market soon esp Nissan whose existence in India is dependent on one model only. As for the Renault, they won't quit soon but just as they did with Duster, Captur, Kick etc, they'll definitely have to discontinue Kiger sooner or later if such poor triple digit sales continue. Been 3 years since launch but still not a single facelift yet. Eg. These days, everybody expect a Sunroof variant in 8 lakh+ car. 6 Airbags has been made standard by many in this segment. The outer design like front grill, headlamp, rear etc also looks dated though they're not ugly. Sleek headlamp, LEDs, connected taillamps etc are the current trend. Even the interior of Magnite which looks and feels too basic and dull also need a serious facelift. See how Tata has done with Nexon with their next focus on Punch facelift. Hyundai has also done the same with Exter and is doing with Venue. Sonet facelift also expecting in Dec or jan next year. The only car around this segment that doesn't care about facelift and periodic upgrade is Maruti Brezza but then fragile companies like Nissan and Renault can't afford to copy Brezza model. Brezza is not only reliable but also carry Maruti legacy to sell. Moreover, Maruti, with its fleet of lineup will never get affected by any disaster of a model due to not updating it periodically. And you KZfaqrs, avoid misleading brands by saying they still look fresh. They do look dated though they are handsome cars.
