Overview of the main Presentation:
This powerful session shares the story of a unique and revolutionary phenomenon in world religious history: a faith tradition founded mainly by women, that ordains predominantly female clergy to this day.
Five major denominations of New Thought offer passages and teachings by its women founders, demonstrating the influence of matriarchal values in creating ministries rooted in peace, justice, love, and radical inclusivity.
From historic Emma Curtis Hopkins, Mary Baker Eddy, Myrtle Fillmore, and Johnnie Coleman to contemporary Louise Hay and Marianne Williamson, presenters draw from the archives of International New Thought Alliance, Divine Science, Unity, Religious Science, and the Universal Foundation for Better Living.
I would like to take a moment to honor Dr. Barbara Fields, a member of our New Thought Archives Consortium and Executive Director of the Association for Global New Thought. She was the inspiration for this panel and we are grateful for her manifesting this Divine Idea and why we are here today.
