I love that you shy away from your shorter books, completely the opposite of what everyone else, including me, does 😂 I definitely tried at one point to try to figure out how much money I "saved" by using the library but got overwhelmed cause I was trying to gather the info after the fact. I also couldn't figure out if I should include books that I check out but don't touch (that happens often) but I'd love to see someone attempt it!

Yeah, I'm not sure how I'm going to track or what I "report back" on as the year goes, but for now I'm tracking a bunch of things and seeing what sticks 😅

Besides my read from my shelves and slow down my book buying goals, I want to keep track of what I’ve read. Oddly enough, I’ve never done that. I’m looking forward to your shelf actualization vlogs!

You can totally achieve all of your goals!!! Rincey also inspired me to start tracking how much I'm spending on books. I'm really trying to save more this year and have so many new spreadsheets to use lol.

I also think it's really interesting to see where people put their money in general. I hope paying more attention to it this year helps me save for some of my longer-term goals 🥰

These seem like great goals! I know some library systems do a “here’s how much you have saved” on library receipts-perhaps you should look into having the library system you look for do something similar!

The library I work at does do that! I just normally check out the books myself and don't get a receipt, so I don't know how much I've saved. One time though, I did find a lost receipt of a patron who had saved over $20,000! I also have 5 library cards in my Libby app from many of the places I've lived, so I get my audiobooks based on who has it available first. I'm very spoiled in that way.

I love these goals! I have been tracking my book spending for the last couple years and it’s definitely been eye-opening. Also, I’m grateful I watched this video when I did because I’ve been struggling with deciding to DNF my first read of the year and now I definitely am going to.
