The Capitol in Colonial Williamsburg, sitting at the eastern edge of the Duke of Gloucester Street, is a historic structure packed full of mystique and a tremendous amount of well-documented stories that would help forge the freedoms we enjoy today.
From within the walls of the Capitol, the framers of our constitution would learn and evolve as the voice of the people living in the colony of Virginia. Their growing efforts and eventual firm stance opposing British control would lead us to the doorstep of the American Revolution.
A place in Colonial Williamsburg, many can easily observe when walking throughout the old city, but going inside the Capitol in Williamsburg, will cast a whole new light on the past that took place here.
This official house of government in the Colony of Virginia during the 18th century, and found here today, restored and recreated, has a long timeline of eventful happenings that were vital to the birth of our nation.
I was satisfied knowing that on this overcast day in Colonial Williamsburg, I would finally enter inside its gates and have an opportunity to delve into its past.
This scenic tour and documentary will guide you through many of the areas found inside the Capitol building in Colonial Williamsburg, with narration unveiling some of the key roles of each room and historical accounts known to have happened within each.
Join me as I explore the history of the Capitol in Williamsburg. A look back at a handful of notable occurrences that took place here, before the revolution, and thereafter.

Well done Scott. We're always impressed by the historic research and content you include. So many times you are much more in depth and educational than actually taking the tour in person. We gain such a unique perspective following your guidance and narration. I will also add we absolutely love your attention to detail and artistic camera angles. We've been to the CW Capital many times but never saw it from the perspectives you capture. Thank you so much and we're looking forward to the next adventure.
