I've never felt this connection of raw emotions and thoughts through a video - this is truly a human. As a medical student, I continuously see people at their absolute lows in hospital struggling with health issues. Seeing you start to bounce back from that decline is heart warming! I usually never see this as I'm rotating between ward to ward. I got into film making and photography just a year ago and I truly believe that this medium of information can convey the complex human emotion in its purest of forms. I felt like I was in your shoes for these 10 minutes. This video is truly art on a canvas of pixels. I am very excited to what is yet to come and I'm here with you every step of they way!
@BryceDocherty5 ай бұрын
Thank you so much for saying all that! I don't think it deserves that kind of praise but I truly appreciate it! Yes it has been really hard. Working in a hospital would take such a strong soul. I definitely could not do it. Thank you for doing what you do. Never stop creating.

I'm sorry for what you had to go through. I never watched your channel before, this was on my recommendation feed. I'm not a filmmaker, I just make some random youtube videos here and there but I feel the same, I work 9 to 5 and I constantly feel like I should be making more videos, but I just don't have the time or the energy with all that's going on in my life (most positive things, but they take time). I wish you the best for you and your family! You already gave me some inspiration to keep going and to make videos but to enjoy what I have. Thanks!

I’m pretty sure is not easy to be completely transparent on Internet and show to the world whatever we’re suffering at the moment but at same time it’s so helpful to other people who is going through same situation. Always remember everything in life is temporary and the sun always comes after the rain. God bless you!!

@@BryceDocherty indeed. I think part of the challenge for me has been finding that niche community that understands and accepts who you are, meaning it’s ok to be quiet, introspective, or be down sometimes if it’s just processing and doesn’t affect your ability to live. I probably would have if I was in the creative industry instead of corporate world. I’m thinking of starting filming again, for me. My first foray into KZfaq was for me but also had the expectations and need to create a following for validation. I think I’m at a place where I can totally get rid of all that and the fake social media validation pressure. Here’s to happy and creative lives, I’ll be following!

So I deal with the seasonal depression thing pretty hard every year. I live in the Midwest, so it goes cold and gray for a long, extended period. Then it gets sunny and warm for a week, then it goes back until May lol. It’s this wall of fog that makes me dread doing things I’ve loved doing my whole life, and i don’t get excited about anything at all. It’s just the worst. I will say I remember being a lot happier and excited to create when i had hand-me-down equipment and no cell phone… (That’s a different story.) You’re on pace though, dude and you know what you’re doing! Love your shots and I read in an above comment that you’ve made a short film I’ll def be checking out because i love seeing what us mere mortals are creating out here haha. I don't know man, it feels like you're using generic music from epidemic sounds, bought into the Sony fx3 hype train, got some luts and some generic shots of your surrounding and then somehow thought of that as being a filmmaker. Not trying to be mean, but everyone is doing the same thing. To feel different or satisfied and to truly become a filmmaker you gotta do something that inspires you and something that only you can make and look back on with fond memories. The reason you don't feel you have time to make videos is because it's just a rehash of the rest of the "filmmaker" community. If you dig deep inside yourself and find something unique you will make time for that.
@BryceDocherty4 ай бұрын
