I could have 2 or 3 of these for the price of a Tesla plus there wouldn’t be much of a difference in energy cost if the Prius is getting 57 mpg or higher.

Toyota made a great move here. They were pinned in and looking at a check mate by Tesla and EV's. But, EV's have not matured enough price wise and charging infrastructure. Toyota has given us breathing room for a few more years till EV's truly mature.

The first Prius I ever rode in was a 2006, and it rocked. I sold me on getting my own Prius. And it still looks new, even being 16 years old.

Wait, whats that I feel? Toyota is making me really admire a freaggin Prius?? I'm really getting old because I actually dig the design! I think Toyota is tired of this car being the butt of jokes and took an entirely different direction. And thank GOD they retained physical buttons inside instead of burying them into the screen. Good job Toyota!

This might not be a review, but certainly a good overview. It really looks like the rear batch has lost a lot of space (at least based on how it appears on screen). Still... Toyota has done a really nice job on the design.

Do you get 0 to 60 in 6.6s on PHEV only when the battery is charged? I wonder if it become same 7.2s as regular hybrid once battery is used up?

Those interior plastics look like they are taken from a Tercel from 25 years ago. That weird empty space between the steering wheel that small instrument cluster also looks awful. The exterior is definitely a step up.

For years I’ve been saying I want an EV. But I can’t afford ev price. I think hybrids should be an alternative until prices can come down to earth. Another problem is people keep making inexpensive evs looks dorky. Just look at the Chevy Bolt. I don’t understand why anyone would want that thing unless you get the EUV version. It looks waaaaaay better. I honestly want a NONE suv ev that is fun to drive, looks sexy, and is still practical and the Prius… never thought I would say this, checks all of those boxes now.

In many parts of Europe, citizens will be banned from charging and driving their electric cars as they go thru a dark cold winter. I would not buy an EV. A hybrid is the best of both worlds.

Biggest problems are the car seats not comfortable at all. Seats are very deep feel like sitting in the pat hole and no option to raise up at the back. All toyota vehicles have a problem. Front Boutum part of legs touches the higher seats of the front which are very high starts pain. I stop buying toyota. I hope toyota notice this painful problem and fix it
