I work for Toyota as a shop keep 90% the techs there can't work on these . unless there BMW certified, and having conversations with the guys that are BMW certified they absolutely hate working on these .

Not allowed to . There very finicky cars and with out the certification no ones touching it . If you don't believe me though that techs hatred towards these isn't real try to rebuild the engine or do envasive engine work were your have to tear the car apart . You have to do everything according to BMW so 🤷 no certification on the tech then they can't touch it . Not that it couldn't be something to get used to but the fact is that they are Toyota workers not BMW . The 86 is similar but techs don't need certification to work on them .

@@Antivenom1998 ahh ya i guess its good they need certs to work on it.. but i mean im a certified tech, not currently a tech but have worked on turbo inline 6 direct injected bmw engines before i mean its alot harder than working on a Corolla or something but they really are just like anything else modern and high performance... only difference is you need star nuts or keys to take some stuff off haha

Yep. It even has the BMW chime at startup. At first I got annoyed by the tired “Nice BMW” comments on every video. But when BMW made the engine, and the electrical systems, and the interior and the rest of the drivetrain along with all the parts bin parts. It’s a damn Bimmer. Toyota just tuned it a bit. I assumed the Supra was a joint venture, not a complete outsource.

@@josephquinto5812 it is comfortable for the most part. Sport mode would stiffen the suspension a bit more. It will be rough but not jarring going over rough road but if it's too rough I would move like 5miles/h. At the end of the day you're driving a sport car not a camry.

Drive one. The horn will be the last thing you complain about. Lol. Test drove, and took it back after pulling it out. It was slow!!! Jumped back in my Nismo and left shaking my head. They should've came with another 550hp Supra. This one is a letdown. Like the new Z. 🤦‍♂️

@Elliot no, I just run higher hp in my cars than this. Test drove it, was not a bit impressed. At all. My Porsche, and Nismo were plenty faster and handled tons better than the new Supra. They really disrespected the Supra legacy with this.

Amazing company Toyota is. They can take a BMW and make it into this unholy offspring of a Juke and a turd. Also the first horn was amazing. Sounded like a dance hit from the early 2000s 'Better off Alone" by Alice Deejay. Toyota: everyone loved our Trueno, the 80s is super hot right now. What can we do? Space turds? Ship it.

The moment you sit in it, it feels like a BMW, turn it on, BMW, drive, BMW, hell the only thing not BMW about it is the Quality Assurance Testing apparently since unlike every other BMW the B engines seem to not throw a spanner at your wallet every 20k miles.
