Hi Kafilat Lamidi! Part 12 are the "Good Moral Character" questions on Pages 11-16 of your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization. Good Moral Character (basically being a good person) is a requirement to become a citizen. They are the "Have you EVER...?" questions on Pages 11-16 of the N-400 application, as well as the Oath of Allegiance (Part 12, Qs. 45-50). *The Oath of Allegiance is a promise to be loyal to the United States and to give up loyalty to all other countries.* Most of your interview will involve reviewing the answers you put on your N-400 form. 👍♥️ You got this! ♥️ If you filed online, there might be a copy of your N-400 application in your USCIS online account. Check under the documents tab or at the bottom of the page for a pdf. Look for Form N-400 and then click on your closest field office. - egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/ 👍♥️ It will give you an estimated timeframe of when you can expect your interview *from when you first applied.* Check back often, as processing times change periodically. 👍 Also - we have been seeing much faster processing times than what is actually stated on the website, so it's difficult to say for sure. Hmm....Not sure about the file situation. But as long as it is not a criminal records file or something serious from any of the questions in Part 12 of Form N-400, it should be okay. If you know what file they are talking about, you can check in with an immigration lawyer to ask questions.

I just passed the test But the officer said that the decision can not be made yet I they will send me a litter in 90 days and come back for the oath and I don’t really understand why the application did not approved right away

Congratulations, yasmeen iyad!! 🙌 🙌 Well done!! 👍 If you received Form N-652 at the end of your interview with the box checked, “You passed the tests of English and U.S. History and Government,” but also the box, “A decision cannot yet be made about your application,” please know that this result is quite common. It usually means the officer that conducted your interview needs to get the interview signed off by his/her supervisor. This often happens when the officer is new. As long as you didn't have any issues with eligibility or the N-400 application, ESPECIALLY in Part 12 (the "Have you EVER..." questions), AND as long as the officer did not ask you to send in any other documents or evidence (Request for Evidence RFE Form N-14), then you should be fine and hear back soon. Hello Essa Group- In Question 12. on N-400 form if I didn't file Tax return for few years as I was not working then, not generating income then I should reply to that question "Yes"? It's a question do You ever not file any federal, state, local tax return. Can I correct it if its wrong.

@@EssaGroup Thank You so much Essa Group, yes I filed it already so I think I will explain the situation on the interview :) I was not working as my bf was diagnosed with colon cancer and he had chemo and operation and stoma bag and I was helping him in recovery and also we were taking care of his elderly disabled mother. My bf revocoverd from cancer now he is 7th year Ned :)

@@EssaGroup Thank You, yes its a miracle from Jesus as I prayed a prayer called Novenna to Queen of Holy Rosary of Pompei on beads. My sister husband didn't had a luck-had colon cancer and he passed away last year he was only 45 years old.

Hello, my dad pass the US Citizenship test but on the US citizenship certificate ceremony day it shows the spelling of his name is incorrect. He’s super depressed, can you please tell us how we can go about correcting this?

Ugh. 😞 Please call the customer service line at 1-800-375-5283. Hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 8am to 8pm Eastern. Say, "InfoPass Appointment" when the system asks why you are calling. Ask the representative to please schedule you an InfoPass Appointment to go into your field office in order to speak with an officer about the situation. You can also file a typographical error notice here - egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayTypoForm.do?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=typoError You might need to submit Form N-565 - www.uscis.gov/n-565 in order to receive a corrected certificate. Hi Mari Calderon. No worries. You can update your application during your interview. Please bring your new original marriage certificate, along with your divorce decree from your previous marriage. You'll also need any divorce decrees for your new spouse if he was married previously.
