The West Coast Customs Academy is a way for WCC to give back to the industry - by teaching the next generation the art of car customization. Students learn every aspect of a car build and get the skills needed to get a job in any shop. Here's a short video highlighting what this program is all about. I remember when this show started with XZIBIT, and the other crew back then. with an MTV show called PIMP MY RIDE. Ryan, you are trully a great hero and inspired alot of us, especially me.

This Savage Family from Seattle was just there @ W.C.C. H.Q. in Burbank, CA. last Saturday 9-30-23. Ryan was there..but in the back working. We got to check it all out inside and spent 300 bones on merch just to support. Almost paid that 75 for the Private tour. Maybe next time. It was badass to be there..and see it in person. We then went to SIX FLAGS..and rode the WCC ROLLER COASTER/RACER.... which HQ has a car on the showroom floor btw. Hey RYAN....been a a fan since Pimp my Ride..and I am a fan for life. My kids love WCC so with this new school you got going...I wish you all the success. This KZfaq channel is one of the ways to go...to keep it out there. Keep the content up..and have someone paying close attention to the analytics of the Channel. Great content= future 💰 ( It's all about Title and cover pic. Your all so lucky to be in America and have this sort of opportunity. Here in the UK, I had no formal training, just dove straight in at 25 years old and literally learnt as I built my kit car that at 54 years old, I still have. Unfortunately the UK can now only be classed as a car hating nation that punishes you for having a car, rather than using them go build futures with. Well done to Ryan and the team for this academy, you are building futures and long may that continue. Nothing is a great as building something you can keep, with your bare hands. Do you have room for a disabled middle aged student ???

I’m 43, in the same boat in the US. It may seem as though we have these opportunities everywhere but not always easy for lower income etc etc. Ryan is filling a need, and his timing is impeccable.

I love this, wishing I was closer. I am self taught from mechanical to electrical. Only lightly touched body work, ie welding to paint. This is super dope to see. Nicely done West Coast Customs, I’m behind this 100.

I remember I started learning how to paint cars at Washburn trade school in Chicago! But this is freaking awesome I'm so happy for the next generation of Auto customizers😊

You learn a lot from a book, both you learn the most and best way to do it yourself, working on vehicles instead of reading about it.

If you want to learn upholstery and you are young. Go down to your local shop who does that and ask for a part time job at minimum wage. Learn everything you can. If you want to learn paint and body. Go to community college programs. Super cheap compared to UTI program. Community college has Technician school as well. KZfaq university is also a good way to learn tricks of the trade. Knowing your theory in core Fundamentals is super important. I don’t know what this cost at WCC but if you are not local then do a lot of research.

Some people make it but big because they came from money, or they have a well known surname, if you're truly self made, you always want to pass it on, I grabbed a homeless guy I see regularly and gave him a day's work labouring for me, over later him, and bought him lunch, coz I built my company from nothing
