Well, that's just about the nicest tribute to Shane that anyone could've made. You can see that Bruce is touched by the song, and by his memories of his fellow artist. PS: After Shane passed on, Springsteen commented that unlike his own songs, it would be Shane's music that would still be sung a century from now.

Ha, never been the first to comment on anything before. Love the Boss and love Shane and LOVE this song: the line about a "light before me, you're the measure of my dreams" brings tears to my eyes and I don't know why. What a brilliant poet he was .....

Surely the stupidest comment I have ever read about one great musician paying tribute to another. It shows that you don't know Bruce and are unaware of the fact that he spoke about his admiration for Shane in interviews before. You don't need to like his version, but Shane definitely would have.
