There is hope...a few weeks ago I got 28.3mpg on a 300mile highway trip on my nine month old 2023 MDX. I was shocked.

I was so shocked I had to take a picture as a momento to assure myself that I was not hallucinating. 😃 One thing I also realize is that to know exactly what it is doing for a specific trip, you have to reset the mpg. Because if you have been driving around town for a week or two and then get on a highway trip, it takes forever for the mpg to climb because it is averaging all the trips since the last reset. This was different for me because my other vehicle immediately starts a new mpg every time I start the vehicle. I knew before I bought it that it had crappy gas mileage, but it had my kind of exterior look, and I liked the cockpit feeling behind the steering wheel. But I was not ready for the first couple weeks I had it, because I was getting like 17 to 19mpg on the highway...well that as untill I figured out that it was a different calculation system than my other car. I breathed a sigh of relief. 😃

They are nice vehicles so I can understand what you mean. If you still have a lot of warranty, I would keep it to get your money worth 👍

Use premium as this is recommended for the MDX and other Acura models to receive optimal MPG’s and performance 👍

Kinda funny the guy who does the detailing and staging of cars said the dealership only uses regular gas. They only have one pump to pump gas and it's regular.

Did you get loyalty, even if you didn’t have an Acura I would ask for that discount, they may discount a little more 👍

@@HawkeyeRides all those discounts are BS. if they want to give it, you get it. i just straight ask 58500 OTD they can do whatever they want eg. loyalty, veteran, new grad yada yada yada all bs. some place only give 1500 off msrp another give 2500 and last one said 59500 OTD and i went to the last guy and ask fro 58500. I post this so people know where to start with pricing as i have no clue. so they have a baseline of what to expect. Hope new buyer can get a better deal than me.

Just had a hybrid from toyota, get into a fender bender and under normal circumstances would had been repaired. But because it's a hybrid, insurance totaled the car. So no thanks to hybrid cause of the cost.

If you plan on keeping the vehicle for a long time you will nullify any fuel savings once you have to start repair the electronic boards and other issues that come with hybrids. Very common issue in the Prius and other hybrids is one of the three different motherboards tend to go bad and they’re $2500 apiece. Just one goes out any fuel you may have saved goes right out the door.

It can get higher MPG just stop having a heavy foot. My TL gets 15 MPG when my girl drives it. After I drive it for a couple days its back at 21 MPG.
