Great car, great review from a great host as always. I can't believe how good your formula works Steve. I mean this review is just over 5 minutes and it leaves me way more satisfied than what some youtubers do these days that takes them half an hour. Keep up the magic my friend. I was amazed at how 'exotic' is sounded too. I drove a S4 & a M340I last week as I'm looking at both. The M340 sounded like a BMW, but the Audi holy molly; it sounded like they made the engine by cutting a Lamborgini V12 in half and adding a big turbo. It sounded way more unique and exotic; Had a lot more of a 'soul'. Especially with the exhaust values open manually shifting.

I'm glad companies still have sport sedans. I went with the IS500 but the S4 is a strong alternative. Great review as always.

I've always felt Audi was the sweet spot between BMW and Mercedes-Benz, with the styling on point. Luxury and value don't always go together, but seems to fit here. Great review, as always Steve!

Just picked up a 24 s3 prestige, in gray with black optic package. Best bang for your buck cars right now. Great style, tech and spirited performance.

I couldn't quite pin it at first but everything made sense once you said the S4 wasn't on it's original wheel & tire set. Those 18s are drabbbb. Otherwise quite a timeless design

Great review! I totally agree. Though I did end up going with the M340i xDrive over the S4 when I bought in 2021. It has better tech, is more powerful, and MUCH more fuel efficient. Not to mention the cabin has better storage capabilities and better cup holders. And when driven at its limit, it doesn’t fall apart like Audi chassis do since the BMW truly is a RWD architecture. And as long as you opt for the adaptive suspension and either get 18” with Runflats or 19” with non-Runflats, the ride quality is great (the Audi certainly isn’t as finicky with wheel/tire combos).

You are absolutely correct the RWD layout from the BMW is much more balance, the Audi front wheel bias nature will always be the limiting factor.

@@slingerace but the weight balance is 55/45 front to rear for the Audi vs 52/48 for the BMW and the BMW chassis stays better balanced at the limit.
