I just purchased M340i. Maybe in 4-5 years I will trade it in for i5 M60 x drive since EVs are looking better and better.

Great video. Can you elaborate on the difference between “active driving assist” and “active driving assist professional”? It looks like active driving assist still has adaptive cruise control + steering assist. What more does the pro provide?

It’s very obviously a bigger car… For my needs it’s actually fantastic… Responsiveness is perfect and very comfortable for my 50 mile round-trip drive every day, I especially love the rear seat room for my three kids… The trunk is decent, although I wish it was a lift back or a wagon but all in all amazing experience and I’m loving that car… I would definitely get over my i4

I subscribed to your channel. Thanks for all these videos. Can you please confirm if this will make it to iDrive 8.5 equipped 2024 model year BMW iX ? I think this can be done via Software update. No need for new hardware or head unit ?

@@BMWofFW Well lets see how BMW honors their existing customers .. This should be a simple software update for any 8.5 user. If they don't do it it will be a big question mark on their customer commitment. Anyways have a great thanksgiving and hope to see more videos. You were running out of ideas so I want to suggest do a comparison between HK and BW for iX & i5.

Hi, your videos are very nice and interesting.. maybe this is not the video where I should make my question but I don't know which is eather haha,.. I have an 2023 x1 xdrive 25e, I don't quite understand the hybrid system, specifically the regenerative braking, in some forums I have read that when you press the brake gently you increased the regenerative power without actually using the brakes of the car, is this truth? And another doubt I have is in the idrive 8 efficiency mode, in the screen where the adaptive braking bar appears, there is another blue marking that moves constantly while braking not being the adaptive bar, what does that mean? I hope you can help me, greeting's!

Oh I just found your video where you explained the efficiency mode almost a year ago, but what about regulating the regenerative braking power pressing gently the braking pedal?

Hahah not a problem, so we don’t’ get the X1 hybrids here in the US but the system and how it works is the same as our X5 50e hybrid. Either way… your regen is a combination of your front radar seeing cars and reacting with limited regen and your braking which is a combination of max regen (most of your pedal travel) and your friction brakes… as your brake it transitions between the two, starting as more electric regen and transitioning to more friction brake as your press harder. When you switch to efficiency mode you STILL have regen and all that, just your view changes to the efficiency layout which is, well, minimum. :P
