I have taken a new spy video of the chinese BYD Yangwang U9 during some hot laps on the Nürburgring. The chinese manufacturer BYD (Build Your Dreams) has started with tests of his 1.287 horsepower luxury sports car, a battery electric super-coupe. This is the very first time that we see BYD seriously testing at the Nürburgring. There is still a lot of development to do with this vehicle, as the setup doesn't look that good at all.
My KZfaq Channel CarSpyMedia focuses on high quality car spy videos that only show the model mentioned in the title. I do not show any scenes twice and therefore want to stand out from other spy video channels.

nope. they have no confidence in this car. when they announce this car in china, they showed its laptop time at SAIC Shanghai International Circuit, not only its pretty slow time, they also didnt release onboard video, no details at all. and the reason that they chose Shanghai International Circuit, cuz that circuit is not open for public.

20 years ago China was making cheap knock offs that had a 1/3 of the performance, quality and features that the competition had. In the 80's/90's Hyundais and Kias were absolute garbage, and look at them now.

Amazing EV sports car, It comes not only with power, but the electronic magnetic suspension adjust in 10ms time. Not many people even know the brand early 2023 outside China. Now they have/will have factories in Thailand, Brazil, Hungry, Ozbekistan and Mexico.

Dark times in the auto industry. Theres no way European car manufactures are sitting around watching this stuff knowing they are going to just cease to exist 20 years if nothing is done now.. Maybe thats the goal. Most people out here don't deserve such machines.

While the auto industry may have taken notice, it may take a very, very long time before the Western public will come even close to accepting Chinese cars. Despite modern Chinese cars being built with comparable quality and much more quantity to other vehicles in their price brackets and their manufacturers releasing thousand horsepower performance cars that have real track time and aren't just for show, everyone in the West immediately writes the car off as fake, a knockoff, with terrible build quality, etc. It might be another 30 years before they have their Japanese or Korean moment

Get use to China's BYD because they're heading to the US with their cheap EV and hybrid SUVs and Sports cars. It's not about just proving their battery sports cars performance by lapping the Nurburgring. It's about showing America that you don't have to purchase an expensive American Ice sports car or SUV when you can purchase a battery powered Chinese build version for a lot less money. All you need is a V8 engine sound track to play when turning laps. Thanks China. But I'll stay with my America V8

Build Your Dreams (BYD), one of Mainland China's brands, its similar to Geely (an equivalent to VW but China) Geely seems like a better manufacturer honestly. Quality is Solid from Geely, BYD is for the rich and powerful over here. Same Overpriced EVs for the "cautious for the environment" people.
