Have you ever thought that maybe people aren't complaining in large numbers about the screen because they like it?. As with many things, the look is subjective. To be honest, this car has hit the top of my list, and one of the reasons is the 33" screen.

Now my 1st new Cadillac XT4 SUV I can buy.

I got the first 2024 Cadillac XT4 Premium Luxury with the larger rims, AKG sound system, comfort & convenience package, sunroof, etc at my dealer!!

100 % agree with the screen mounting methods of some of these car manufacturers. Make the vehicle look cheap and almost like an afterthought. I like the look of this but worry about the reliability of Cadillac in general. In my opinion best looking in its class interior and exterior.

I agree 100% with you about the way EVERYBODY is "plopping" the screen onto the dash . . it's the worse part about any of the vehicles that have it. It looks like something they would put in a Vega or Pinta if the were being made in 2024. ( good thing they AREN't LOL ) I'd keep the SUV I have just so I don't have to look at it. The 2024 CT5 "V" has a real nice digital cluster in a "pod" right in front of the driver with many choices to choose from to display the actual gauges - a perfect cluster for ALL Cadillacs in my opinion.

Love the comment about the screens just looking like an afterthought in most vehicles.. some of Stallantis did good jobs of incorporating in SOME of there u.s. vehicles .. Another thing that is a COMPLETE TURN OFF to me are SUBSCRIPTIONS…. Once I pay for a vehicle I’m not expecting to be PAYING for services or devices in any vehicle continuously.. especially being a cash buyer !

The interior design has improved a lot over the outgoing car, but that GM 2.0L turbo just simply sounds rough when you start it, never mind when you start pushing it hard. Also, the pricing is...optimistic, especially when you get rivals like the BMW X1, Volvo XC40 and Audi Q3 which are just so darn good overall in the details.

I have ordered a refreshed Buick envision avenir, which comes with a new 30-inch display and new front end. My question is, is the xt4 worth the extra 12000 dollars?

I like this car a lot as configured in this and other early reviews I've watched … I have to say I'm deeply disappointed in the single, Turbo 4-cylinder powerplant offering. If they had made this available with their twin turbo 3.0 L V6 I think I'd have to choose this as my next vehicle.

First let me say you did a great review and I really like the exterior of the xt4. My personal gripes- Can Cadillac spend a few more $ and give us a leather steering wheel horn cover? The plastic cover looks pretty cheap. I don’t understand paddle shifters on an suv. I have yet to see anyone using them and pretty much think that’s a worthless item. Blue stitching on an all black vehicle with white interior looks horrible IMO. But my biggest dislike is that blue design on the dash, looks like they couldn’t figure out what to put there so they threw on that silly looking design. I saw it at the dealer and that really turned me off. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder though. Finally, I would like to see some of the aesthetic features of the Cadillac Asian GT4 vehicle be incorporated on the XT4. The quad tailpipes would look great.

I love me some Cadillacs, but the price for these things should come with the vehicle fully equipped. Nothing but a money grab for all these "packages."

As long as you get it with those wheels, otherwise, it ends up looking very GM entry-level without. GM still doesn't understand the significance of nice big wheels to make a car look more premium. They just don't care.

Pointing out the obvious features/points is not really useful as it assumes we have no concept of modern vehicles. It takes up a great deal of time and doesn't add to the presentation.

Is it worth the money? My biggest pet peeve with cadillac is you go up to sport trim and are told they give you everything in that trim well thats bull shit. You dont get the heads up display as that requires a seperate package. You dont get backup sensors and 360 as that requires a seperate package. These assholes are charging basically $55,000 canadian just to get the top trim + tax is about 62,000 and they exclude 2 packags from it. No i wont play that game. There are better products out there for far less that dont do this package game crap

Cadillac sucks. Even their target client base (old people) think they’re junk and won’t buy them. 🤢 Most people would pay extra to have all Cadillac symbols removed. 👍
