I WAS HERE! I WAS HERE! I WAS HERE! SAT IN THE BLEACHERS AND HAD A BLAST! It was amazing after the politicians got out of the way but yeah I also saw Amber Lee like 5 ft in front of me! The parade was wonder and the crowd was so Awesome. Magnificent colors Fabulous people! HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!!! Omgoodness the Fireworks blew me away 😮!!!

Just made a trip to San Francisco in December and had a great time. Stayed at the Queen Anne Hotel, a fabulous place to stay. Rode the cable cars, went to Fisherman's Wharf, Alcatraz, Golden Gate Bridge, Muir Woods, and the rest of this great city. Be sure to put it on your list of places to vacation.

Went to the parade. We had wonderful weather this year, the city really outdid themselves with the fireworks, had an amazing time.

i think this the only american channel is correct to say "chinese new year" ,also i love all banner in street with words Chinese new year, yes because lion dragon dance, mandarin words ,red envelope all of this is chinese culture . dont say lunar new year just because insecure vietnamese or southkorean, they jealous ,they didnt even celebrate this lol they dont have this culture ,very different .

The history of San Franciscans celebrating New Year dates back to 1860. Since that year, San Francisco’s *Chinese* community has held an annual parade to ring in the new year. In 1958, the parade was first formally run under the direction of the *Chinese* Chamber of Commerce, and it has been continually organized by the *Chinese* Chamber ever since. The *Chinese* Chamber of Commerce continues to name it the _Chinese New Year Parade_ ever since.
