I am a Cybersecurity Engineer in Bangalore and I have to agree with all his points. I did a few certifications during college and they helped me get a good salary too. I would also recommend interning as much as possible during college in security/related fields and your resume will stand out.

If you are interested in offensive security I suggest you to go for CEH practical or ejpt. The other certifications like network+, security+, CCNA are not worthy
