It took a long time for me to let my husband help with packing. I make a list and if I don’t pack it I feel like we forgot it. But now I know he follows my list and we have everything. We are a large family of 9 so we have to split up the kids for sanity. So we split the kids routines between the adults for the whole two weeks we are in Disney and it works great and we normally get to bed or out the door when needed.

💜 Great tips on the evening routine. I always get our stuff ready for the next day. Makes your morning less stressful and you can sleep a little bit longer. Trying to grow my hair out. Would love to try the heatless curler.

That evening routine is the best (even at home, honestly)! Thanks for that Ted talk! I sometimes feel like if I’m not doing EVERYTHING by myself I’m not doing enough. And that’s so far from the truth. Ask for help. It’s ok. It’s also our partner’s job to do those things! That doesn’t make us any less of a mom. 💜

My husband is better at the physical part of parenting (wrangling our very strong 2 year old toddler), and I'm way better at the "stuff" organization - setting up kid activities, packing the stroller etc. Totally agree re work as a team. But sometimes we have to switch up roles so we can appreciate each other!

We haven’t been in 5 years they didn’t have it last time 😂 people think I’m mad for scheduling time in to do the laundry but it’s the best feeling taking clean clothes home!! Xxxx

We still own DVC but most families don’t so I share about renting points because we still do that too. We would need a LOT of points to stay DVC on every trip.

@thepixiedustedmom Random question (sorry!) Have you ever done Magic Kingdom during the day when there's a Not So Scary party (or similar) in the evening? Is it busier or quieter during the day typically? We have a 7 year old and are going in August and are surprised Halloween season will be beginning that early.

Last 2 times we went to Disney, we didn't pack our bags the night before. We were so tired we let it go until morning which made us later and I believe my husband forgot to pack something and it caused an argument in the parks. 😕 I love when you say "do your future self a favor" and I often remind myself of this! I have a picture of 5 year old me on Easter morning (also happened to be my bday too) with my mom’s old school rollers, little bristles and pins to hold them in my hair 😂. I swore off sleeping in any more rollers after that but the heatless curler looks waaayyy better lol. 💜
