Thanks for the info. Purchased a 24 GMC 3500 Denali yesterday. Had the same problem. After watching your video, disconnected both negative battery leads. After 5 minutes, reconnected and started truck….everything is working great on the infotainment system.

Simply boot the Infotainment system in “Safe Mode”. Option under settings. This will allow you to create a custom profile. When done, turn off the truck and wait at least 5 min. Now, it will boot up in normal mode, and allow creation of more profiles at any time.

Same issues here with 2500 denali. Drove 4 hours to pick it up at one of the largest dealers in the country. Dealer set it up. Drove 4 hours home. Every time i got out it would reset to default. Spent 2 hours trying to figure it out and on hold with gmc support that "was on standby ready to help with the issue". Apparently being on standby means wait an hour and hope the customer goes away. Then i found your video. Theres few things i hate more than a salesman not knowing the product theyre selling. And they should have known dealer mode looks different than regular mode.

Since picking up my new truck I have spent a significant amount of time trying to figure this out on my AT4X. Did exactly as you described and it worked perfectly.

Thanks for making this video, had exactly the same problem. In fact the radio wouldn't even work, couldn't get any sound out. As a few others have said, I went in the settings menu and rebooted into safe mode, that then took me through logging into my chevrolet account (mine is a chevy), logging into my google account. It set me up as a seperate user from the Guest user, paired my phone and all looked good. I then shut the truck off, got out closed the door and waited maybe a minute and then started it back up and everything was still saved but I was still in safe mode (it says that on the botttom the screen). So shut it down came inside reread the other comments that seemed to imply it might take a longer. So I waited maybe 15 minutes, restarted and then it booted up in normal mode. I suspect you might be able to push and hold the radio power button to force a reboot buy not to sure. Anyway this video and comments were very helpful.

Thank you for sharing your experience. Same exact problem with mine. I fixed it by navigating to settings->reset->safe mode. It was a quick fix.

Mine did the same thing. All I had to do was hold down the "hang up" button on the steering wheel to reset the infotainment system. Once done, it took me through the setup wizard.

I’ve had my new Chevy Trail Boss for about 3 months and I subscribed to all the My Chevrolet and On Star services. A few days ago the infotainment system stopped updating to the My Chevrolet app. Not a big deal because after all I could still get same data scrolling the dash display. Thing is these services cost me about $50 monthly. The ones that are most comforting are emergency and vehicle locator services. After three calls to On Star and two trips to dealer the app now delivers all information but it was a hassle I hope not to have again. Technology is great when it works but when it doesn’t it can make very annoying.

As per other comments.. I tired holding down the "hang up button" and it worked. 2024 Sierra 1500 denali locked in "guest ' mode. With the veh off, I held the "hang up button" for abut 10 sec .. heard light beep. Started the veh and the Info center reset. Followed the prompts and everything worked out.

I held down the hang up button on the steering wheel for 10 seconds on the 2024 2500HD I just bought a couple of days ago. It rebooted the system and walked me through the Google sign in process. Looks like it worked. I shut off the truck, opened the door, closed the door and restarted the truck and all my settings were saved and it recognized my phone. Will know for sure in the morning when I leave for work.

Did you try holding the "phone " button on the steering wheel down for 10 seconds? Pretty sure that works and a lot easier.

Drove mine off the lot yesterday, as soon as I did the infotainment just said loading the whole time, took it back, 2 hour upload in the shop

Bought the exact truck and had the same problem stuck in demo mode (Guest mode) and had to pair my damn phone every time I turned the truck off. I reset in Safe Mode which allowed me to get everything setup and then followed the instructions to exit safe mode which is turn the truck off exit and close the door , wait a couple minutes and then when you fire it back up your good to go.

Mine is the exact truck and did the same thing. I remote started it using the AP this morning at coffee and noticed the blinker chime does not work as well the audio. The information center works but no audio.

I had the same problem, but the dealer had me reset on the console, it takes a bit for it to work because I turn the truck off , turned it back on and it was still guest, but when I turned it off , left and came back later it had me set up my information.

Mine was set up at dealership. My problem is I have a iPhone and it does not gehive with google. GMC knows about this problem but as of today there is no fix. Buttons on steering wheel works sometimes, it has deleted my phone twice. Sometimes it will not connect or disconnect. I have two 2024 models, 2500 SLE and a 3500 Denali Ultimate, both do the same things. Dealership has had the Denali for 30 days now with 1500 miles on it.

Dealership didn't let me leave until account was setup, synced Onstar and the App on my phone. Wasn't clear if they went through everything but I would be equally frustrated. I had some issues with my phone and Android Auto. Plugged in a couple times then haven't had any Bluetooth issues.

That horrible placement of the trailer brake controller, probably go with the Chevrolet High Country - That is one sharp ride. Driving a computer.

I had the exact same problem with my new 2024 Denali 2500HD diesel truck. I could not get it out of demo mode. I wish I would have seen your video 2 weeks ago. I took it back to the dealer. Took them about an hour to figure it out. But they did not have to use any tools. In the menu they reset it and put it in safe mode, Programmed it in safe mode. added my profile in safe mode and then reboot and it worked.

Bought this exact truck. Started in safe mode, set up my profiles, logged out of safe mode, turned off truck for 15 min, started it and it booted up in regular mode with all my info. Didn’t have to remove power. Maybe I just got lucky

My 24 - 2500 Ultimate did the same thing. Had to take it to the dealership for them to reset they didn’t tell me to do that

Is there a way to turn off the split screen and make it one big screen on Apple CarPlay? I can’t get the google map, clock or song of the right side of my 2024 gmc sierra 1500.

I was having the same issue. You have to down load the MyGMC app as soon as you take delivery to avoid this problem. As soon as I downloaded the app and made an account the issue went away. At least for me.

I was able to reset mine from the cab through the safe mode option and resetting through the phone symbol with the line through it.

Had the same problem with my 2022 GMC Elevation

If you hold down the scroll button on the right side of the steering wheel for about 20 it reboots the system out of guest mode. Easy.

I would have taken it back to the dealership and let them fool with it. Any GMC Dealership would work on it.

Does your music cut out and come back on? My infotainment in my 22 Silverado 1500 cuts out then comes on numerous times. Seems like a bug in the system.

I had the same issue went to 2 dealers and both couldn't figure out the problem . I did the same thing unplug both battery's for 2.5 hours and it allowed me to set up my profile. But if anyone can tell me how to move my lower mirrors with power I'd appreciate it.

Let me know when both your dash and infotainment screen start glinting. My wife 22 ykon at4 has been a headache since day one. Gm needs to fix quality control issues before I ever buy another vehicle from them.

you do not have to disconnect anything. Simply go inside your truck, turn it on and make sure everything is running on your infotainment screen. Next hold down your hang up call button on your steering wheel for 10 seconds keep watching the screen in the middle until it flashes and reboots. Problem solved!

Any mass produced product is going to have issues....regardless if it costs $10 or 100k..... Every single vehicle has issues, GM is no different...have bought 7 recently and all been flawless but am aware shit can happen.....sure it sucks but it is what it is At least it was simple fix.... Amazing people want rolling computers with absolutely 100% reliability guarantee when no product in the world offers that....thats what warranties are for

Thanks - picked mine up last night after 22 years of Fords. Wanted to drop it off at midnight with a note and steal my Ford back - same exact issue. Wouldn't pulling the fuse to the infotainment center have the same effect as disconnecting the power? Does it have it's own fuse?
