This would be awesome with a V8. It's looking more likely each day that we are going to have a change in government which would allow for less epa regulations. So if it's not too costly to engineer a gas powertrain into a Hummer I would definitely see GM doing this. It would be much lighter and give them many more sales and profits. Yeah it would be slower but who gives a ****.

Good way to get it to match the 0-60 of the original H1…like 16 seconds.

@@lukemages8350 nah, it’s quick for a small diesel. Plus without all the batteries it would weigh a couple thousand pounds less plus.

@@BigMikeRobinsonFJB so maybe not 16 seconds but at least 10 seconds. 1500 w that motor does it in 7.1. Even w the battery pack removed the hummer would still weigh over 1200 lbs more than the 1500. No thanks. Put the duramax 6.6 if you’re going to make a diesel version.

Diesel yes - put the Duramax in it and it’s mine. EV - no thanks! Charging sucks, range sucks, towing sucks. Why would I want to stop for 128 minutes to charge when the diesel pump takes 5 min for 500 miles?
