One of the voter's exact words were "With Beyoncé, the fact that every time she does something new, it’s a big event and everyone’s supposed to quake in their shoes - it’s a little too portentous." Another one said "I didn’t vote for either Adele or Beyoncé in any of the top categories. I love Beyoncé’s album and have been a fan of Adele, but I feel that they have already won a lot of Grammys. " And another one said "‘OK, Adele, Beyoncé - they always win; it’s the same people over and over again.’ So I went for Lizzo."

Watching the Grammys made me realize that my generation style of music is fading, I had no knowledge of many of the artists that was featured on the show so I did my homework and listened to these new artists, and discovered some of the songs were nice, I listened to Taylor Swift’s album of the year and there were several songs that I enjoyed, especially the one Karma and Anti Hero. Congratulations to all the up and coming generation of musician. ☮️

Whether you like it or not everything he said was true. It's one thing when voters don't think the music is good enough to win the award, but it's another when they come out and say the only reason they didn't vote for Beyoncé was because they felt she won too much already. It's a bias that should be called out especially when they don't have that attitude towards Taylor (who deserves to win) for example.

Joni Mitchell mesmerized me and the crowd with her wonderful performance. We also had Tracy Chapman, Stevie Wonder, and Billy Joel perform live, U2 and Tony Bennett from beyond, and Tina Turner and Sinead O'Connor songs rendered live on stage...As a 65 year old Swifty, I loved to see my generation of R&R heroes represented so well, so I'm sure glad I tuned in. I do hope Taylor apologizes for slighting Celine; that was the only downer of the evening, but still forgivable if she addresses it with the humility and class she normally exudes.

Both Taylor and Miley received their awards from Celine and Meryl, neither of them seemed to want to be hugged, as they quickly walked away, and stood far off to the side. You could really tell that Taylor didn't expect to win. She is usually much more composed when she goes on stage, but this time she was all over the place. I think if Celine hadn't just given it to her, and quickly walked off, Taylor would have talked to her, but she really didn't have the time to say anything, and she was overwhelmed at that moment. People don't seem to understand what can happen to your ability to think straight, when you're overly excited, and not prepared for what's going on. I'm not even sure if she thanked the fans.
