So those lines on the black docking bushings are index lines. The bushings are not perfectly round, they are more oval. The index lines are used so you can test fit your rack and if it does not go on smooth you turn the black bushing 1/8 a turn and try again. You continue you this until everything just slides right on with no binding. I found this out after I fought with mine for weeks, only to take a dermal to them to shave them down a little. When I told the parts guy at my local dealership he just put his hand on his face and was like "Oh no.". Luckily they had replacements in stock and they were only like $12. But he gave me the set for free because when I ordered my tour pack he said the were supposed to fit it for me. So yeah. If the rack is binding, loosen the screws and give those bushings a little turn.

@keithclever5810 they make locking tabs for the racks and sissybars that comes with its own key, it just replaces the factory ones.

The Ciro 3D footpegs make those obsolete… Sorry you don’t support them anymore… They mount to the frame and are way cleaner… And don’t mark up your crash bar permanently once you tighten them down like those and the Harley ones do… Not even close… Sorry buddy

I feel your pain man, spondylolisthesis courtesy of the US Army. The most mundane things can have me laid up for a week at a time (last time I jumped about 6 inches off the ground and landed on a slight slope, like the skirt at the end of your driveway)

Cool video, I have that same luggage rack it's big and not stylish but it works very well. In your case I would've went with the chrome. Can't wait to see what suspension you go with and what you think of it compared to the legends you had on mad max. Ride safe bro

So I was wondering if say you were to stop at a restaurant and someone came up to your bike is it possible to pull your luggage rack off with the RikRack system on it or does that lock the luggage rack down as well ? I’m thinking about getting your set up but was wondering if I should buy the locks from HD so the luggage rack can’t be removed ? Also hope you feel better soon.

Seeing as how you talked about riding through the heavy rain, what kind of rain gear have you and do you use. I've looked at the HD rain gear and the nelson rigg along with a few others but can't find and good reviews on them 😊

Hi John, that Rickrack system is awesome! I just have second thoughts on the lock.. it looks like that’s open or cut in 2 seconds.. do you happen to know if they have anything stronger or more secure to avoid theft? (I’m traveling in Europe, and some regions are not the nicest..). Thanks and enjoy the new bike!

Honestly, I never leave the luggage on there long without me being near the bike for anyone to steal it. That is not something you would want to leave on your bike overnight and why would you if you’re at the hotel you take it off and bring it up with you

Hi John, Amazon sales two up luggage rack for $61, which is the same I believe as the Harley part that fits the Rick rack system. Do you have any info if the aftermarket fits the system just as the Harley rack does?TY
