Wow Honda killed it in this segment. Awesome review again, you two! Usability with the cargo/storage. It does what it needs to do as a midsize pickup truck. Great Drive engine with their new iVRTM that is supposedly on par with a 4x4. Would love to see Driving Sports TV off-road with this. Nice redesign on the outside/inside especially with the Trailsport orange stitching.

I've never in my life considered a ridgeline but dang this looks good. Might have to go check a trailsport out when they arrive at the dealers.

Almost a home run for the interior Honda just had to add last gen gauge cluster display. It went one gen up but it was already 2 gens behind. Love the truck but for the price people would be paying for it Honda should add it's latest and greatest.

Really like what they have done for the 2024 model. Just wish they went the extra mile and lifted the truck 2" (TrailSport) and beefed-up the suspension. Honda takes years to implement even the most simple of ideas and they go through numerous clinics before making a decision. C'mon Honda.

My dad has a 2017 Ridgeline that he bought new. It currently has 130k miles & has been reliable so far as expected. Was hoping for a complete redesign, but like the updates that were made. I would buy a Ridgeline if I were shopping for a mid-size truck. Really glad they're keeping the V6.

Awesome, I'll trade in my 3018 black edition but disappointed more was offered, example, my tires are pretty much same Nokian Rotiiva AT winter rated and great on and off road and Awesome for winter in northern Ontario Canada. Traxda sells lift kits up to 2.5 inches. I love the new stuff but compared to in class compared should do more even simple things like headlights and taillights like pilot.

When they got rid of the 1st design, 06-14 they lost a customer. I had 4 RTLS . Was very disappointed with 2017 design.

what happened to the 10 speed trans and the engine like the one in the Pilot? It looks like minor things have been changed. Not worth the expense of updating my 2020.

If this thing is ever a "Pilot truck" (of the new 10spd '23 one), it will be on my shortlist. I love our '23 Pilot.

I wonder why Honda didn't choose to use the new DOHC V6 and honda 10 speed transmission in the Ridgeline like they did in the new 23/24 Pilot? I guess it will have to wait for the future full redesign.

Drew, Did you ask anyone from Honda that was at the release of the 2024 Ridgeline when the all-new Ridgeline will be out? It's getting a little long in the tooth. The Trailsport seems more of a cosmetic trim. I wish it had the features that the Pilot Trailsport has.

I don’t like the electronic emergency brake or the push button shifter, but I guess those aren’t going anywhere with the 2025 redesign-too bad. Those should go, along with the stop/start default.

The 23 are rtl-E that it’s supposedly replacing gave you that 540 premium sound. Now you have to go to the midnight edition which took away the conversation mirror at 51,000 with added HP package.🤷🏽‍♂️

Regrettably, the earlier second generation models of this chassis have ran off most folks who'd be interested in one of these newer ones. I have a 2019 RTL-E... been one hassle after another. The tonneau-cover leaks... a lot; the rear-doors don't open all the way like the front to make storing stuff easier... there's an 'upgrade' for this... good luck getting the right part, because even though it's inventoried as an upgrade or parts-revision, it's really just getting the front door door-checkers and putting them on the the back ones... kept getting the stock ones in the mail; it didn't have a tailgate lock... 2019 RTL-E... dealership put one one, but had to have the lock-tumbler configured at a locksmith 20 mi. away, they couldn't do it; the Windows '98 infotainment is pretty much useless... have to use Carplay for everything to bypass nanny-controls; the camera was misaligned when they put the lock on. Once you have the lock installed, you have to be careful not to open the gate while it's locked... or you'll break the gate again... some kind of cable-slippage. The gate will open sideways, but not open vertically, or vice-versa. Ir doesn't cruise right between 1600-1800 RPMs, bi-i-i-ggg mystery; which means it's a defect of some sort, it seems to be the transmission. If you go to a real mechanic, they add an additive to the transmission-fluid which helps mitigate this; it'll void the warranty for sure, but if it's not going to be honored, what difference does it make. We haven't towed with it... I don't think I would ever do so. My experience with this thing gives me flimsy-vibes. The hood-cover flops around in high crosswinds... it hasn't flipped-up, but it's very unsettling. 'Oh, it's fine.'. This was after the recall-work was done. Walk-away autolock works about... 70-80% of the time; it's buggy... it panic-beeps and you lock it with the fob. The outlet in the trunk... it's a 2-prong... I have no power-tools or tire air-compressors which are 2-prong. I learnt yesterday this thing has another recall, engine rod-bearing defect. Don't get me wrong, I think the recalls are a good thing, they prevent buyers from being lemon-bombed. But, I'm nigh certain that when I take this thing in... they'll do some make-shift fix like they did with the hood. It has 43k miles. Just... don't... buy one of these things; the only other vehicle in my life with more issues was my mom's Chevy Citation.

Why the hell can’t they upgrade to the 10 speed transmission like the pilot?? It’s the same freakin chassis. Guess I’m keeping my 2020 for awhile longer. I do like the new center console. Beats the heck out of that accordion thing.

We don't care a rip about going off road with our Ridgelines - we want more towing, PERIOD! We want to be able to pull a trailer load of your HONDA branded toys as well as be able to pull 7000 pounds when needed.

My 2022 is nicer. Bought the RTL trim (mid spec), then added a Traxda 2" lift kit, Black Rhino Rims, and Noikan AT tires (I now have 10" ground clearance). And it looks bad ass. (Also, blacked out: mirrors, door handles, front grill, rear Honda logo. Plus tinted the windows. Plus added HPD grill and fenders). I'm in maybe $4k for it all. Base price was $43k. So $47k for very custom. $47k will be the base for the 'trail' version. No lift. Nowhere near as nice of wheels. And honestly, Sonic Grey Pearl beats Trail blue every day...

Honda makes great vehicles, ( i've had three Accords), but the Ridgeline Trail Sport is not a true off road truck, angle of approach is way to low, ground clearence at 7" is too limited, truck needs to be raised 2" minimum, with skid plates, and crawl control.

It's still not aggressive enough. - It needs the appearance of bigger tires. And the bed needs to sweep up rather than down...

Would love to see an EV version of this truck.

Mason said redesign, i turned into dora looking for the changes. Honda has a lot of homework to do because the copy n pasting just doesnt work out to well. I saw that interior and thought we had a blast to the past. The tech enhancements made a little better but not to much. The whole thing is quite outdated considering its age. To me this still looks softer than the pilot trailsport. Its just overdue for a redesign.

Too much talk about ginger bread stuff like the stitching. I am not buying a suit. I have a 2023 Rtle model. I love the truck but HATE HATE HATE the dash screen. It’s SLOW. And very very VERY complicated to use. Just try to turn on the radio . It takes two to three push’s of electronic buttons that you cannot watch and drive at sometimes. Real knobs need to come back. Not computer screen stuff while driving. You are not able to use the GPS input while moving. It won’t let you. But you NEED to do same to operate radio and everything else which it lets you do while moving. Go figure.

BIGGER TIRES please.

No redesign, no buy! That thing’s getting long in the tooth.

How about a 4 cylinder, front wheel drive model for those of us that don’t need the towing and payload capacity and don’t go off road?
