I'll tell you right now, this episode definitely didn't turn out how I expected! Following the wrap up, and dinner on Day 1 I made the call to push on to Nashville early, which should set me up for a quick easy drive on Day 2. So far the 2024 Hot Rod Power Tour was going great, the little black 1991 GMC Syclone is doing well, and everything was trending my way. Unfortunately after a night out on the town I got back to my hotel and things were... less than great. HRPT is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get!
So with an incredibly late start I jumped into Nashville traffic and made my way to Nashville Super Speedway, one of the most dreaded venues of the past years. For the Hot Rod Power Tour 2024 though, I discovered the secret to no lines! Fortunately I was able to meet up with several other KZfaqr friends, Derek of Vice Grip Garage, Jacob of Sally's Speed Shop, Kevin of Junkyard Digs and several others as we all hung out "after the show" before they kicked us off the property.
Day 2 in the bag, let's get ready for Day 3, we're headed back north to Louisville Kentucky!

That’s true I-40 is the most traveled Interstate East and West in the country. Well Got to see Kevin from Junkyard Diggs. And Jacob from Sally’s Speed Shop. In Nashville.

How was the traffic in Bowling Green? Lol I was born and grew up in BG. Drag raced my 1968 firebird 400 ci Hurst 4 speed Muncie trans at Beech Bend in the early 1970s. Stay safe in Nashville!

Highly doubt that was a real GTS Celica. It looked like a clone someone poorly did. However a real GTS has the great motor in it as you said. The Vibe GT however is horrible for melting clutches and transmissions as you've found out.

Hey Austin, Mike here, met you in the parking lot in Bowling Green. Just wanted to throw in my 2 cents worth. This will probably be my last Platinum package purchase. The perks are no longer worth it. Lunches are cold everyday. Entrance and exits are used by everyone. Used to be platinum holders didn’t have to wait in the hours long lines like everybody does now. Talked to some newbies that said they will NEVER do another power tour because nobody knows how to run a venue the size of this anymore. Horrible traffic lines every day.
