I test-drove it yesterday. Comfortable, and the movement is responsive. Interiors and dashboard design are at another level compared to competitors. Good looking design except for the weird tail lamp position. It would be even better to move a bit higher.

This is a great looking car ! And the engineers hit a home run on the rear ended ! They have given you a wide opening and low level entry ! And having the lights setup lower is right for safety and use ! This car has so many features ! This car checks all the boxes for me as a family car and a 8:30 Daily driver !

great review very detailed we were going to go the sorrento but now wanting to wait till the Santa Fes launch to at least test drive it. wondering if the design of the charging pads will set off traffic cameras top down and whether people will get a fine as a result

I've seen a lot of Santa Fe videos since the launch of the new model overseas in August. We were going to wait for it, but over time, it became apparent that the new model wasn't going to have the diesel option. This was confirmed by a dealer we visited 4 weeks ago. So we bought the Palisade Highlander instead to suit our purposes.

Great video and really interesting new model, but I have to say the dual Qi charges may be useless given they are flat and have no way of holding a phone in place. I look forward to the Qi2 standard with magnetic alignment (a la Apple's MagSafe) to be adopted in the car industry (which realistically, will take years).

I don't mind the tailgate. I won't need to look at it anyway... lol Seriously though, it was done for a purpose. The opening its extremely wide for loading and unloading. It also doubles as a awning for tailgating plus Hyundai even offers a tent to attach to the vehicle. Apparently if they raised the taillights they would need to change where they place rear struts and would need to reduce the opening to do so.

They should considering the back tail lights, they need to move upwards. That would move many buyers to other options. Otherwise it looks great

I think the whole car is gorgeous I think it’s the best looking Santa Fe yet it’s a sports utility vehicle it’s not supposed to be sexy it’s supposed to be practical rugged a roomie that’s what you buy an SUV for if you want sexy sleek and all that other stuff buy a sports car I think Hyundai nailed it

The back is a little odd with the low down lights and indicators, but I quite like the overall look and styling.

It was going great till the rear end. Its like one team designed the rest of the car and another was given the rear end design which they clearly destroyed.

Looks great from the front, but I would kill the rear with fire. Between the overall look and the ridiculously low placement of the lights (great if you enjoy being rear-ended because they can't see you braking, I suppose) - it's so bad it would prevent me from buying this car

The new Santa Fe does have three rows of seats, and like the current model will likely be available in both six- and seven-seat versions when it goes on sale in Australia. We'll know more closer to launch.

1.6 for a big SUV? Seriously? The GOLF's got a 1.4, and the Corolla's rocking a 2.0. Are they for real? And those lights way down at the bottom? Not the smartest move. Imagine you're in front of a road train or some beefed-up 4X4 - they won't see your car's bumper. That means when you signal, they're in the dark, and that's a safety problem right there.1.6 ? for a Large SUV?

Non hybrid gets a 2.5L Turbo 4 cyl which has about 280HP and does 0-100 in mid 7's (Based off the Sorento which gets that motor overseas. Would be my pick.

Something seems to have gone terribly wrong with Hyundais design philosophy and things seem to have regressed with 2024 santa fe. Vehicle looks like a boxy american station wagon from the 80s..In comparison 2023 santa fe looked much more modern and futuristic..

A grave mistake committed by Hyundai with this ugly design that is not in line with modern designs. Hyundai must remedy the situation and completely redesign the Santa Fe.
