The Hyundai Sonata gets all-new styling inside and out for 2024, as well as a new engine and all-wheel drive options. The new design language matches that of Hyundai's new vehicles, such as the Santa Fe and Kona, making the sedan feel much more modern and even upscale. Sonata is a midsize car that seats 5 passengers and is available only as a 4-door sedan. Competitors include the Honda Accord, Nissan Altima, and Toyota Camry.
Five trims are available: SEL, SEL Convenience, SEL Hybrid, N Line, and Limited Hybrid. Two engines are offered: A 2.5-liter 4-cylinder that makes 191 horsepower, and a turbocharged 2.5-liter 4-cylinder that produces 290 horsepower. Both pair to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard with all-wheel drive being optional. Pricing ranges from $29,000 to $39,000.

Very nice all around car, especially for the money. I recently checked out this vehicle along with the Accord and really liked them both. The AWD Sonata SEL is the same price as the FWD Accord EX. Other than the Accord having a sunroof, they were basically equipped with the identical equipment. However, the Accord doesn’t offer AWD. Nice but last year’s model had two things that Hyundai should have kept. The transmission selector and the steering wheel. The new column mounted shifter looks like an afterthought. I do not understand why Hyundai decided to change to those four dots which is H in morse code over their very nice emblem on the steering wheel. It does not make sense and it makes the new steering wheel look terrible in comparison to the very nice one they had in the 2023.

When you shut the car off it automatically sets the parking brake and puts the car in park. I found that by accident

Having had both Hyundai & Honda cars, Honda is a better automaker but Honda/Acura needs a new designer Hyundai is getting ahead by appealing designs

I would get a Subaru Legacy over this. More features for the price and standard all wheel drive for all trim levels. Also has a better reliability rating than the Sonata.

i probably gonna wait 2 more years to see if there is any issue after refreshed. If this new Sonata is good, I may trade in my car for it.

It's using the same powertrain as the older one, there's been no mechanical changes.

4k over MRSP in Alberta Canada. It really is terrible dealing with any of them in Canada these days. I usually buy Honda but they do not want my business ( I dont want their markup ) But even Hyundai is playing stupid games. I guess Ill hold onto my HRV and Civic.
