A brilliant idea from Nissan. The Nissan Kicks ePower bridges the gap between EV technology and the lack (or almost none) of infrastructure (charging stations) in the Philippines. You get to enjoy the benefits of EV without the worry about the range.

i just wish they have an option to charge it via plug in. maybe also expand the internal battery as an option.

I suggest that Nissan should retrofit the Kicks by incorporating plug in system to further reduce the operating time of the internal combustion engine. So that everytime the owner leaves his house battery will always be full thereby reducing the operating time of the engine.

Most automakers are not yet definite to mass produce. I think they're still experimenting other engine like hydrogen combustion engine, Toyota said EV is not the answer to mass produce because of infrastructures problem to recharge the batteries.

Hope to put also charging port, para pag nasa bahay ka pwede padin i charge ang battery. Para yung motor nia for charging lang talaga pag nagbbyahe.

I think you mentioned 100 kw or 156 ps, I think it's only 136 ps with 280 nm of torque.

always think of the worst , what if your tire got flatten on an area where there is no one and how can you rely on that tool repair kit, even if its your first time to use it, honestly that is the worst ever ived seen such car that has no emergency tire, you cannot rely always on that tool kit. tried to buy some extra wheel buy they don't allow.

I learned from my conversations with some folks at Tesla, that based on stats, there are very few occasions that you will need the spare tire. so they decided to use the space for luggage instead. but that's in the US, a different story here in the Philippines. I think yung emergency patch will work naman. thanks for dropping by with your thoughts!

@@TeamDyTVyun nga eh. Typically need mo lang yung spare tire kapag abusado mo na yung sasakyan (ie. Pag NLEX ka nang NLEX 14x a week or puro ka out of town 3x a month) pero if iikot ka lang around the city and/or occasional Tagaytay or Subic, tires usually last up to 2 years.

EV cars wala talagang spare tire,,,preo my tire sealant xa na kasama ng air pump,,and it's good and works well,,,isasara nya ung butas just in a few second....

Manga BMW matagal nang wala spare tyre. Dumadami narin manga common ICE vehicles na wala spare tyre ngayun. Personally sakin, meron ako both spare and repair kit for almost ten years na. Yung spare never used, pero yung repair kit used twice. Regular driving around the country including na dirt roads and slight off-roads kasi nag mmountain bike ako, camping and hiking. Speaking of which, yung mountain bikes nga tumatakbo ng wala naman din spare, tyre repair kit lang din ang dala ng MTB riders, pumupunta sa gubat na walang tao or sometimes kahit cell signal. Realistically kasi, yung chances of kailangan mo talaga ng spare tyre is very low talaga lalo na kapag lagi ka nasa "civilization", kaya ayun, repair kit nalang.

Nissan gamed the system to get this car to be classified as a “BEV”. They broke the spirit of the law. The result I think is that they will get zero tariffs. The big question is will they pass on the savings to the public? I hope Nissan does pass on some discount to the consumer if not kupal sila.
