Jesus did not talk more about money than he did hell. Reality of Hell A friend once challenged me to show her where Jesus talks about hell in the Gospels. Even a cursory read-through shows Jesus talked about it plenty. In fact, Jesus talked about hell more than any other person in the Bible. In Luke 16, he describes a great chasm over which “none may cross from there to us.” In Matthew 25, Jesus tells of a time when people will be separated into two groups, one entering into his presence, the other banished to “eternal fire.” Jesus talks about hell more than he talks about heaven, and describes it more vividly. There’s no denying that Jesus knew, believed, and warned against the absolute reality of hell. Jesus doesn’t only reference hell, he describes it in great detail. He says it is a place of eternal torment (Luke 16:23), of unquenchable fire (Mark 9:43), where the worm does not die (Mark 9:48), where people will gnash their teeth in anguish and regret (Matt. 13:42), and from which there is no return, even to warn loved ones (Luke 16:19-31). He calls hell a place of “outer darkness” (Matt. 25:30), comparing it to “Gehenna” (Matt. 10:28), which was a trash dump outside the walls of Jerusalem where rubbish was burned and maggots abounded. Jesus talks about hell more than he talks about heaven, and describes it more vividly. There’s no denying that Jesus knew, believed, and warned about the absolute reality of hell. Reason for Hell Jesus has to talk about hell because it is the fate that awaits all people apart from him. Because of Adam’s sin, we’re all guilty and deserve God’s eternal punishment. Contrary to popular belief, hell is not a place where God sends those who have been especially bad; it’s our default destination. We need a rescuer or we stand condemned. So we’re left with two options: stay in our state of depravity and be eternally punished, or submit to the Savior and accept his gift of redemption.

I like the part where the Pastor says he wants an offering of $240. One word to him and this church, BYE!!! Funny how he thinks 24 represents $240, and not $24. He wouldn’t get 24 cents from me. And you wonder why young people no longer go to church. I really don’t know why people don’t wise up to these false prophets.

Older people don't go either. Money scam.
@vernaj.brooks64335 ай бұрын
That don't make him a false prophet just because he asked for $240. You might want to use another term. He may be asking for $240 to support the convention. After all it does cost money to have a leadership conference. Don't be quick to judge. Also, if you don't go to church you will have to answer to God for not going not man. If you chose not to give that, is you right. But don't discourage others from being a blessing to the conference. Be Blessed God Loves you and so do I.

@@vernaj.brooks6433 Lady, I’ve been going to church all my life, it’s because of these fraudsters that I’ve stopped. I see nothing Godly in those places, it’s a lot of theatrics. And I’m not giving my money to accommodate and fund their lavish lifestyle, wearing their fancy robes and suits and jewellery, living in their mansions and driving their big cars. Like I said he wouldn’t get 24 cents from me let alone $240, I think the man has a cheek to even ask this congregation for that much money, he has no idea of their situation, a lot of poor people are out their suffering with not a penny to their name, unable to eat, pay bills, put clothes on their back. The true role of a pastor is for them to give to those in need. Not demand we give to them. I’m not discouraging anyone, just telling them to open their eyes and wake up. A lot of these Pastors are worth millions.

Must be over 100 people there, do the maths. That’s a lot of money they’re raking in. The best thing about Covid was to shut these places down, people still praised God, at home. It showed the world, we don’t need these churches. I believe it was God’s way to say to everyone. STOP GOING!!! Open your eyes and wise up.
