Bro, i will go to college this year around july and will use my laptop for atleast next 5 years where i will do everything on it except video editing Do you think 13450 hx with 4060 is ok or it will be a bit odd as 15k price difference is very huge and should i get qhd display or the normal one i mean do qhd display makes a notable difference or not. Does this screen have amd free sync ? Does free sync or g sync impact your gaming experience...I personally have not played in such monitors..

That info is not available yet. Generally G-Sync and FreeSync have a window of 48Hz-max refresh rate, so if your fps is fluctuating but is inside the sync window (no less than 48 fps), then you don't feel those frame drops as much. I am yet to experience it though.. my external monitor supports FreeSync/G-Sync but only over display port. For me V-Sync is good enough.

Technically speaking the 16 core 14700HX is a 15% step up from the 14 core 13650HX...but only when the laptop is able to sustain very high power limits. It won't help in video editing much.

Personally I prefer 4060 laptops to be close to 100k. For you both laptops will have same gaming performance, while Slim 5 AMD will give better battery life and Helios 13700HX will give better CPU performance.

You only somewhat need DDR5 if you are dealing with RTX 4080 or 4090... else don't both. As for futureproofing and performance the RTX 3070Ti absolutely destroys the RTX 4050. No contest.

As per Intel 13450HX supports max DDR5 4800. May be it'll still support OC'd ram but for that to work the laptop needs to provide settings for XMP.. which I am not sure if this laptop provides. And lastly no, you won't get much bump in gaming performance even if you upgrade to 5600 in this config.

LOQ is better because LOQ allows CPU undervolting. But Acer has blocked CPU undervolting on the Helios Neo 16 despite having HX chip.

Bro pls help. I was playing Plague tale innocence on Acer nitro V . The GPU usage was not crossing 60% most of the times. For a few seconds it went 80-90% but most of the times it stayed below 60% . Do I need to worry?

I can't help. It'll depend on your settings. Check my Acer Nitro V gaming review where I showed the settings and gameplay performance. Try to replicate it and see what you get. The only problem I faced with this game in particular was when gaming on an external monitor with Frame gen turned on - the GPU usage would drop from 99% to 80% after a few seconds. It would only happen with external display and only in this game. No issues on laptop's display.

The answer is simple. If you want to actually play the latest games then Nitro V is a clear winner else if you mostly play older games then go for any 3050 laptop. GTA VI may be out in 2026 for PCs, and I have a deep feeling that the 6GB 3050 will be too weak for it.

Do you think hx series laptop processors are more worth it than h seires? Personally, I feel that H series processors are better because of their low power efficient performance and better thermals, not to mention they can be used on battery for college too. However, I am aware that the hx series processors have much better performance and not much of a problem when plugged in, and thermal performance and battery can be improved by undervolting. Also sucks that they removed the 1440p display on these amd models. Its like they always want amd models to be lower quality than intel ones

H series being low power is just a myth. Have you seen how much power Lenovo/Asus and others push to the CPU in balanced and performance modes? Let me give you an example: AMD says that their HS chips are supposed to run at 35-54W... but both Asus and Lenovo push over 85W. Acer too pushes over 75W. For Intel they can run upto 135W! So there is no difference between H/HS/HX... OEM can decide how much power they wanna push. And you can also decide to how much power you want to push by using manual modes and setting the power yourself. And finally HX parts from Intel at least is definitely better than H parts... because HX parts allow official undervolting allowing you to undervolt and configure the CPU anyway you want, you can even make the HX part run like a U series part if you wish.

@@aasishwarsaravana5748it happened when there was an Intel security issue on 10th gen called plundervolt exploit due to which intel disabled undervolting and those who had access to undervolting(8th/9th gen) got their's revoked unexpectedly via BIOS updates. Luckily I'm still on old BIOS and mine is undervolted since past 5 years. But nowadays I don't expect such things however OEMs if they want can prevent you from undervolting despite featuring HX chips like Acer Predator Helios Neo 16.

Yea you can. For SSD you need to see which slot is empty.. 2230 or 2280. If you have to add 2230 ssd, then a 2TB 2230 ssd is a very very expensive.

I already have a video on my channel but that is relevant for Intel 11th gen and earlier. Now Intel has P-cores + e-cores setup, so it may be almost the same but a little different. However undervolting is only allowed for i9 H series and all the HX series parts and I don't have a laptop with this config to make a tutorial for undervolting.

For reference - 3Dmark timespy graphics score: 6GB 3050 95W : 5500 points 6GB 3060 95W : 8270 points 6GB 4050 75W : 8240 points 8GB 3070Ti 150W : 12000 points. I don't understand why you are so attached to the Strix G16.

It's not about the best deal but the specs, whatever you have got, now in 104k you are getting 1 tab ssd one slot 16gb ram and better processor with better build. Though you can argue the air vents but as per thermal numbers new vents are great. So if you want to upgrade you can sell old loq and buy this new one with 14700HX

I need a suggestion. which is better? primary purpose is gaming (2k, gpu intensive games) and secondary purpose is college work. acer nitro 5 with i7 12700H rtx 3070ti 2k display ddr4 16gb ram or lenovo loq (new customized model) i5 12450H with a rtx 4060, 16gb ddr5 ram, 2k display. lenovo one is 7k nore expensive acer- bad thermals, cheap quality, better cpu, better gpu but worse power efficiency and ddr4 ram. loq- worse gpu dlss not incl. with better power efficiency. worse cpu (about 33%) im thinking the loq is much better because it will last me for much longer. both have around a 60kwH battery which is bad but loq has better powr efficiency. despite the worse cpu for 7k I think the loq is worth it.

I wouldn't pay 7k extra for LOQ... rather I would buy 4060 TUF F15 with 12700H 100% sRGB 4060 Thunderbolt 4 90Whr battery. DDR5 doesn't matter as long as it's not a 4080/90 GPU. Plus laptop DDR5 isn't that much faster.

@DeepteshLovesTECH I thought about that too but the thing is the LOQ has a 1440p display WQHD with 165hz, 1 tb ssd and the F15 has a 144hz FHD 1080p display 500gb ssd. f15 is costlier by 2k. F15 has a better battery life and GPU. how are f15's thermals? my sister has a 3050 F15 and the gpu makes a lot of noise under pressure and it gets hot really quickly but at the same time it is a 3050. the other question is both are 15.6inch displays, will the 2k display even be that noticeable at that size? the display should be crisp but from what ive read online the 2k on a 15.6 isnt that noticeable when compared to a 1k display. all these budgets laptops sacrifice their displays for the other specs and its so annoying bruh

@@DeepteshLovesTECH Well, I won't say worse than 3050 as rx 6550m is max 65watt tdp and against 85watt 3050, it outperformed rtx 3050 in a few gaming titles. In many games, the difference was just 5-8 fps. Although getting rtx 3050 over it will be a better choice but at the price it comes (rx 6550m), i think it's unbeatable. Let's see future driver updates. Coz it's very soon to judge it coz of very few tests done by other youtubers. Btw what is your main laptop? Is it the nitro V?

HP Victus is in a lower performance tier. It's a 4050 laptop vs the LOQ which is much better with 4060 also more expensive. I am not sure when Victus will return that too at 80k price point, considering the machine costs 120k originally.
