@@ThisGuyRocksLikeCrazy That's true, but I mean both the Landcruiser and this Lexus will touch 95k to 100k smh .. So I may as well save extra harder for the Lexus. The Landcruiser is good too, but I hate the square lights on their top trim model. I like the round lights, however that is on the base model and it has a cheaper interior... So it's like damn at this point ... LEXUS !!!

This is going to sound interesting, but I am very impressed by how quiet it is on the inside, especially when you were doing 70mph over that washboard section, no interior rattles. I guess it is expected when buying a luxury vehicle and Lexus at that

@@owenperry9937For this Overtrail+ vs base 1958 Land Cruiser, but the middle "Land Cruiser" trim and regular Overtrail are within like $6k of each other, nearly identical if you get the premium package on the Toyota. The base Land Cruiser is cool and all, but pretty bare bones and maybe hard to justify

It’s a complete idiocy! It shows that they don’t do high speed off-roading. The camera can help so much to follow trails but also see oncoming traffic a lot earlier at the top of a hill!

Why are there so many negative threads on reddit with this vehicle? People complaining it looks cheap inside... that the hood rattles... the engine is too loud... the ride is too firm... too expensive etc.

Because people have finally gotten a chance to drive it. Nearly all of the initial hype was generated by the excellent exterior design.

Because the reddit crowd are all people who are invested in the GX460 already. It’s a great car. The engine isn’t loud at all. The hood has some flex because it’s aluminum to be more pedestrian safe like a lot of the newer cars.

Drive the vehicle, form your own conclusions. Topher in one of his reviews says on-road this is a step behind dynamically compared to the old model. My Lexus sales guy drove the GX550 and bought himself a 460; point is drive the new model and buy what suits you; new one is better off road old one more of an all rounder IMHO.

One thing is only the OT, OT+ and Luxury + have the adaptive suspension system, so other trims will feel different and they are not happy. Anyone buying other trims than OT, OT+ should really be better buying something else.

@OldelCpt That's totally true. The Luxury trim makes no sense on this vehicle; it simply doesn't have a luxurious interior, even in Luxury trim, and the 22" wheels eliminate the off-road capability.

@@ge7lh I will wait for topher to chime in. Rest of the video towards the later part of the video shows zero flickers. Also the flicker at 3:05 is very atypical and doesn't look like a refresh rate mismatch with the camera

There are bearing failures reported for the V6 twin Turbo LX600 and Tundra and customers are concerned if the GX550 will have the same problems. Toyota is still quiet about the engine failures

Look instead of driving this car I'm just going to travel by plane. Because the test drive you did on that sand circuit is untrustworthy and saying that you're a suspect driver is a euphemism.

A Trailhunter Tacoma is $65k or so, so that will be the price of the 4Runner as well and even a bit more. So for a few thousands more, get the GX, but those prices are high, true. but it’s taking a $45k offroad tacoma and adding mods to it worth about $20k off the lot with manufacturer warranty … and mods that can get paid with a loan …
