The larger and more luxurious 2024 CX-90 three-row SUV has boosted the company's biggest SUV further up the luxury mountain-and it earned a 2024 Editors' Choice award along the way. Our team has long loved Mazda's now-discontinued CX-9 crossover. A new 3.3-liter inline-six turbocharged engine producing 280 or 340 horsepower and a plug-in hybrid powertrain option (evaluated separately) are standard on the CX-90. Here, Mazda's premium ambitions are clearly visible, as the top-of-the-line models of the three-row, eight-seater provide more upscale amenities than the company's existing SUV lineup. The CX-90 has elegant style and a cabin that draws inspiration from the MX-30 and CX-50, two smaller SUVs. The CX-70, a two-row SUV that will debut in the Mazda lineup for the 2025 model year, is another product of the completely redesigned architecture that was used to build the CX-90.
