EVs and commercial work vans aren't really supposed to mix, but they do here with the Mercedes-Benz eSprinter cargo van. It's new for 2024, but there are already a couple of all-electric vans on the market. So is the eSprinter the Mercedes of its class, or is it a big 'ol battery powered dud? Let's take a closer look and find out.

I own a 2019 sprinter with the same basic interior. Their vents suck. The steering wheel controls are not great either.

A long wheelbase actually is always naturally better for ride quality.

Who wants rear door windows in a cargo van. That makes no sense. Hope they have option without it and it should be cheaper.

Well actually its actually very nice. You can have the rear lighting inside, spotting out. And when you open backdoor you dont smash to other people around. Didnt watch the show cuz my 2012 sprinter already has the step on pumber and I couldn't care less about the fcking headlight design.

Underwhelming from Mercedes. They've been working on this for at least 2 years and this is the best they can pull together? I have a 2022 model and this looks no different. The execs have tunnel vision and think everyone that uses vans, is doing deliveries. What about the huge market for tradies? We need to be able to charge our battery tools and they haven't even thought about it. Also campervans and vanlifers would love this. It took them 2 years for a power train swap and almost nothing else is different. Its a pity Rivian can't make the Amazon delivery van available to general sales, they would kill this easy.
