You need to know which wide receivers to draft when you're on the clock in Rounds 4-6. We're going to help you by taking a long look at WRs 20-29 in our PPR consensus rankings. Today, we'll mostly focus on the first five of this group, but we'll start by comparing this group of 10 WRs (1:40) to the previous 10 who are taken in Rounds 2-3 and questioning the upside of this group (5:30) ... Who are our favorites in this group (15:02)? There is some love for D.J. Moore and Tee Higgins, but it's not necessarily shared by all of us. Speaking of Higgins, let's start with him (16:30)! There is a lot to say about Higgins who is the King of the Aizer Stats! Next up we talk about Moore (26:20) and why it's so hard to know what to expect from him ... We spend time on George Pickens (30:15), DK Metcalf (40:38) and DeVonta Smith (47:43). How come when we talk about the Texans receivers no one ever brings up the fact that Noah Brown and Robert Woods saw a combined 130 targets between the two of them? That was with Nico seeing 7+ targets a game and Dell over 8 in his healthy games. There's definitely enough to go around if Houston consolidates the targets between their top 3 receivers.

Higgins will be playing for a big contract somewhere. I have him in dynasty. All I need from him is #3 WR numbers.

The Pickens “breakout” came against a Bengals secondary that was reeling after losing Vonn Bell and Chidobe Awuzie, they were starting rookies and second year players at CB and Safety, Nick Scott was their most experienced secondary player, and they were giving up chunk plays all year. The entire offseason strategy through FA and the draft was “stop giving up explosive plays.”

Pickens had 127 and td against the browns and 130 and a td against the ravens. Two of the best defenses it works both way pal

@@brandonsprague1230 Look pal, I’m not denying Pickens is a good young receiver. I have no problem drafting him around his ADP. I never said he’s not capable of putting up great numbers. I said the “breakout” they’re referring to (200 yards vs. the Bengals) came against a secondary that no one who understands football would dispute was a very poor one. The Bengals were 31st in the league last season at limiting explosive plays, that’s a fact that’s indisputable. And I put “breakout” in quotations because Pickens had plenty of 100+ yard games last season. It’s not like the Steelers-Bengals game was the final game of the season and you can point to it as The Breakout For George Pickens, or like Pickens’ breakout came when he put up two hundred and then he had a bunch of 200+ yard games after that. It was a breakout season. If you want to say putting up 125, 150 yards against a top defense is a breakout I will absolutely not dispute you. But I have a problem with people pointing to his performance against a horrible Bengals secondary as Pickens’ breakout.

His strengths and weaknesses align with Arthur Smith's offense. I expect him to have a good season.

Pickens didn’t just torch the bengals he destroyed them and he also did to the ravens who had the best defense in the league last year and he completely took over the game , how’s that for your shit take on he did it to not good corners when the ravens put there best guy on him and he cooked em

I understand why Adam would remove partial played games in order to determine what someone's active ppg number might be. But I also see the argument that if the player was in Fantasy lineups, then we should count the game. (understanding some people just leave players in their lineups, not talking about abandoned leagues or rosters)

Yeah diggs is a veteran seal for stroud big target good hands decent route runner only would really need to win in the short to intermediate

He's not a decent route runner. He's an elite route runner. He won't have the target volume he has seen his entire career, however, so I won't be drafting him. His name value will push him up too far in drafts.

Heath I wouldn’t call the Bengals a disaster last year, they finished 9-8 with a winning record and still finished last in the division and just missed the playoffs. Not at expectations but in the toughest division in the NFL not exactly a disaster. Although I think the comment was more indicative of what you expect the Bengals offense to be, so we’re okay 😉.

Fantasy analyst are way too high on Pickens. Steelers offense will be terrible with Russel Wilson and their division is loaded

Why did the Texans pay so much to get Diggs? The answer I get from Texans fans is they don’t trust Nico isn’t a big regression candidate. I’m avoiding Nico like he’s kryptonite at ADP.

@@Horsesnot Yeah I totally understood wanting Mixon over Dameon Pierce, I just think they would have been good without Diggs. But I get it, my Bengals are in the same boat with Chase, Tee and Jermaine Burton. Everyone expects us to trade Tee but we’re trying to win a Super Bowl. So it makes sense, I just don’t care for Diggs as a personality, I think he’s a distraction and a diva. But there’s no argument he’s still a top 20, maybe top 15 receiver for this year. He’ll turn 31 during the season, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

How is everyone so high on Deebo when he’s an injury prone player, the 49ers drafted a first round WR, he’s getting older and Aiyuk is coming off a career year? I can’t take Deebo at ADP as my WR2, I just can’t. I’d take him as WR3 but he never falls. I don’t get it, and I’m not crazy about Aiyuk at ADP either, he’s a huge regression candidate no one has back to back efficiency like that.

@@charles-antoinelafond4655 Ok fine, but you can’t say all my points are wrong. He’s a physical player who turns 29 during the coming season, has been injured every year of his 5 year career, splits targets with another receiver and now will be splitting more snaps because teams don’t draft receivers in the first round to sit the bench. I think he’s a great player, uniquely talented, I just don’t want him as my WR2 and I have trouble understanding why I’m wrong. Because obviously, according to ADP and ECP, I’m wrong.

@@charles-antoinelafond4655 Yeah it could go either way. If Aiyuk were traded I’d take Deebo as WR8 overall, right after Puka and AJ Brown. If Deebo gets traded I’ll avoid drafting him because no matter the landing spot there will be an adjustment period. If Aiyuk and Deebo both stay I’d take Deebo around WR23, right after Metcalf and Amari Cooper. That puts him in the fourth round of my 10 team league but he never makes it to ADP, his projections make him a round 3 pick, which is just frustrating because I like him, just not that early. I’m sure if healthy he’ll have a top 15 finish.

@@aaronl8609 unfortunately nobody is playing standard any longer. I was in a big money standard league that switched to 1/2 last season, I am dropping out and starting a standard of my own do get back to old school

I dont think Dionte fits that new offense. I don't thing Diggs will get enough targets to be worth his adp either tho. Wouldn't draft either of them.

why couldn't both be true? Diontae will lead the Panthers but they'll spread it to everyone. Diggs can still play but won't get the same kind of target volume in HOU as he used to in BUF.

He isn’t going to be the number 1 receiver on a loaded Texans team. It’s hard to actually rate him, he will be good still but he isn’t the alpha anymore

Right the problem is NOT the talent. He is still skilled. He's in a crowded offense. I think I pegged his role and have judged him accordingly. Might go down as one of this year's best slot-dominant WRs (not every snap he takes will be in the slot either).
