How about making the game the first thing on the schedule and than have all the activities It shouldn’t be east vs west it should be USA vs the rest of the world. This would bring pride and all the events should revolve around that with gold medals at stake

@@cheerioss-9121 It's pointless finishing this conversation because you can't listen and don't remember what he said. Used the PHX > DEN playoff series in '21 to justify why he wanted CP3 to win it in the first place when there really was no reason to ever vote him outside of team wins. Used the 2022 first round loss (to the eventual champions) and the team seed as an argument against him (despite him being the best individual player in the league). The pushback started YEARS before the three-peat chance and a foundational argument against the first two was already playoff success. It was also, as a result, just the easiest argument to use the third year. "I'm not going into detail repeating his argument, go watch what he said" lmao, yeah you should go do that. He literally said the MVP award was worth less because of the postseason result after the first two years of him winning it. This argument didn't magically start last year. Nick just doesn’t like that because he knows bron fell short of where he needed to be to ever be considered the consensus goat over mj. Really think about how redundant that statement you made is. Every sport is about rings. What ruined the culture is everybody wanting to play buddy ball and take the easiest path they can teaming up with each other instead of actually wanting to compete. They’re all so lazy and entitled now that it actually became a story that the players were upset about the 65 game rule lol smh. You can miss 17 games but apparently that ain’t enough. If its going to be a joke, let it be a joke, make it fun, guys like competition, change up the quarters format, have different rules, force certain lineups against each other, have it be 3 v 3 at times or force 1 v 1s during the game. What the league really needs to do is just put more value on the defensive side of the game. Bring back hand checking or something. Defensive 3 sec rule going away would’ve changed things a lot back in the day but now since so much of the game is played outside in rather than inside out like it used to be I actually don’t think it would change much. Yea the bigs could then crowd the paint and not have to leave but then that just opens up even more space so I think that would sort of have an adverse effect that would be negligible IMO
@bptboy2

@@jeremyroberts8822 every other professional and collegiate basketball league seems to be doing fine without a defensive 3 second rule, it’s only an NBA thing. I can only imagine the type of defensive schemes somebody like Coach Spoelstra could think up with a true zone defense.

it’s the evolution of the 3pt shot. i would think it would be good to go back in evolution when there’s no 3pt line. If all regular shots are counted only as 2 pts (except for FTs) then the “game” can leverage defense again to win.

The game needs to decide home court advantage in the finals, offer a huge trophy, give the MVP an automatic roster spot on next year's game where he has a crazy theatrical entrance like an MMA figh. Make a production out of it like he's handing the throne off to the next guy. Give him a bunch of money and spotlight/donate to the charity of his choice. Give the coaches incentive as well.

The all star break and game has been such a disaster… the only real way to make it matter… is to make it affect the regular season somehow… if it’s just an event to host while the rest of the league takes a break… it’s NEVER going to hold substantial meaning because the accolades ultimately don’t mean anything:/ the NBA has been broken, so this topic of debate doesn’t surprise me.

Dear Wildes, Love the show Here's how you fix the allstar game : Make it a pickup game The top vote getters are the captains and select their starting 5 and the next vote getters select theirs until the last tem with 4 players From then on it is a last man standing contest of 4 twelve minute quarters: The first two teams face eachother and the loser is eliminated and so on until the last team which is going to select its fith player from the eliminated players. That way the clock is restarted and the score too and you have also created urgency to make them compete harder Love, Dawn Sr

for the all star game, winning team members will get 5 coach's challenge back to their team, which can be used at any time including the playoffs. change the 3 point reward for points inside the paint, 2 pts for anything inside the 3 point line, and 1 point for anything outside the 3 point line(effectively killing the reward for deep shots). Also, every 2 steals/blocks that leads to a turnover removes a point from the other teams score.
