Yea as long as smaller markets don’t shy away from the luxury tax. If they do then it won’t help them much. For example, Hartenstein in OKC. The Thunder gonna have a huge bill in two seasons. I’d say there’s a 95% chance Trent Jr does not return at this point - paying him would catapult them to/past the 2nd tax apron - a move that doesn’t make sense for a team as bad as they are currently.
