The complete Top Fuel Dragster Eliminations of the 55th Annual 2024 Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals at Gainesville Raceway in Gainesville, Florida.
One of the sport’s most prestigious events is the traditional East Coast opener and what will also be the first race of the 2024 season. Legendary Gainesville Raceway has been home to numerous records and barrier-breaking passes in its ﬁve-decade run, including the ﬁrst 300-mph Top Fuel pass in 1992 and the ﬁrst 200-mph Pro Stock Motorcycle pass.

Unfortunately, Round 1 of top fuel footage was corrupted and lost. Only the first run was salvageable. Looking to fix this by having a backup SD for next time! Sorry guys!

Thanks for the coverage.ive always wanted to go to the gator Nationls but it's a long ways from where I live.been to many NHRA events but Gainesville always the place I've wanted to go

Why do some of the dragsters have a canopy while other just have a windshield with an open top?

The windshield is the more traditional style, whereas a lot of the newer cars have a canopy. At the end of the day I believe it’s up to the driver’s preference.

@@RacersUnited Amazing. Zero to 336.74 mph in 3.702 seconds. It might not be long until it's cut to 900 feet. If was still 1/4 mile it might be 350 mph in 4.2 seconds

Not necessarily a waste of time and money - the military uses flyovers for training purposes, and timing of what air strikes would be.

On a normal day we fly 7-10 training sorties per day. That's just for heavy's. Fighters fly up to 30 per day depending on the units fleet size and health. Trust me. Flyovers are a waste. Also no airstrikes are taking place out the back of a C-17

@@theeimmaculatetrash2738 obviously not with a C-17, but they do practice timing of stuff. Either way I don’t care, they’re going to do what they’re going to do.
