Since 2015 I have been getting the lucky bag. I got the same bag you did for your mom. I was disappointed because the Charlotte Tilbury as you mention was a throw back to 2023 lucky bag. I could have done without the false lashes as I don't use them. This is the first year that it was subpar but not bad out of 8 bags. I will sadly indulge next year 2025 lord-willing.

I was disappointed in my first and last XL lucky bag. I basically paid for the XL bag price for the palettes in your small bag. They added a $185 AB light cream 1oz that even if I love I wouldn’t never buy at that price to double the value of my bag. I already owned the Viseart quad I bought on Ipsy over the summer and the CT palette from a 2020 mystery box. My FOMO is gone and I’m fine with never buying from Beautylish again.

I did separate videos in the past, but they came one day after the other (I had to pick my moms up) so it worked out for one video. I’m glad it worked out that way because I think it makes for a better video. Now were you happy with your box? Hopefully yes! Thanks for watching and commenting

I got the XL lucky bag and I loved mine! I didn’t get any of the products you got in either of yours. I agree with you that the regular bag was a dud. I probably wouldn’t do it again if I got that one. I think you should keep getting them!

“If you are fair to medium are these the lashes you would wear” I’m not sure what you meant… but I’m not fair to medium and I’m not wearing those lashes. 😅

So I meant, that on someone fair to medium, these would look ridiculous on, because they are black and super thick. If I wear bigger lashes, I tend to get brown so they don’t look ridiculous. But like you said, you aren’t fair to medium and you wouldn’t wear them either. They would probably look ridiculous on most people regardless of skin tone. Thanks for watching and commenting.

I’m sorry you were underwhelmed. I guess it’s the risk we take with these things. With that said, last year my mom’s original lucky bag was great and my XL was blah. So you really never know.

I paid tax on my Lucky Bag. I also received the exact same regular bag, minus the lashes, and I was happy with what I received. I thought the brushes felt really nice. I didn't already have the Charlotte Tilbury palette. I liked the Viseart quad and I needed more heat protectant spray. I wasn't thrilled with the RMS lippie but other than that, I thought it was a good bag. It may have been bad for you but I didn't think it was a bad bag. I wish I never saw your video because now I feel bad about the bag I received when I really liked it.

I was sad to see you say that watching this video made you sad and to that I have to say that everyone is entitled to their own opinion…just because she didn’t like it doesn’t mean you can’t like it.I have to believe that you a stronger person and not so insecure that another opinion has such an impact on yours. You should feel blessed that your bag had products that you liked and more so that you don’t have to feel like you wasted your money. Please know this comment comes from a place of good and that I’m not putting you down, but just trying to lift you back up and show you another perspective to consider.xo

I have a rather large makeup collection. I decided to just try an XL. I got a SG brush, CT Light cream spf 20, Surat single pot shadow,GM cleaner, ND mini Bronze and Glow, Wayne Goss lipstick, Wayne Goss eyeliner in blue, RNco hairspray and some scrunchies, but the kicker is I got the Light Work V palette. I already have it. It is her best formula yet. I will gift it to someone. I encourage you to try it. I don't think you will be disappointed. Have a great weekend. New Subscriber ❌️⭕️

First off, thanks for subscribing! Blue eyeliner?!!! Thanks for the feedback on the Lightworks palette. I’m probably 80% going to keep it. The rest of that sounds blah. Were you happy or disappointed. Now the CT Light cream is my favorite. I think it may be being discontinued, but it’s the one I use daily, but I don’t have dry skin. More combination.

I think all of those Viseart Fleurette palettes have incorrect packaging, not just in Lucky Bags - the one I bought at launch was the same. I’m in the UK and still waiting on my regular bag (the only one we can get) Watching unboxings I don’t have high hopes, and I didn’t like my box last year either, so this will likely be my last one - I’ll just buy the things I want instead! xx

Even though the Viseart palette was a misprint, it is really pretty. I received a different Viseart palette in my Lucky Bag.

I got a dark wayne goss lipstick in my light/medium bag. I was pretty annoyed by that. If they are going to offer choices based on skin color, darker products should only be in the dark boxes. In the past I’ve traded items I didn’t care for but nobody wants wayne goss stuff. But overall it was one of my best boxes. 4 products I’m excited for, 1 meh and a wayne goss lipstick in a dark shade.

You know, I realized as I was editing that I didn't get any Wayne Goss stuff which actually surprised me. That is annoying to get a dark lipstick shade in the light Lucky Bag. Why ask then? I'm happy the rest of the bag was good though! Thanks for watching and commenting!

FYI: Beautylish does charge tax on the lucky bags. The rate depends on where you live.

Hello Shannon, thank you very much for the nice video. I've already watched some videos with the LB and I have to say that it's really very different this year. I also think that your normal box is not good. And the XL, well, it's fine. I've only bought an L B once so far, last year and I wasn't really impressed with it. 2 Wayn Goss products were included, unfortunately! and also that CT palette that you had in there, it's already old and probably doesn't sell that well anymore, I don't need it. That's why I decided not to buy any more. The thing with the dark lip product would also annoy me. And what I also find unnecessary is that they so often put Wayn G. products in that no one wants anyway, why? There is an extra LB from WG. Well, it really takes a lot of luck to get a box that is exactly how you want it, that makes you happy :-) I send you lots of love from Germany, Margit :-)))❤

The original unboxing is one of the worst I've seen and the XL one of the best. I contemplated getting a box, but the only thing I've seen I would actually be excited about is the DM lightworks palette. Even with the ND most ppl got the Love Face palette that everyone hated lol so I think you did well with your XL box.

I never do mystery bags and this one seems disappointing. Maybe yours was on the shelf from last year. Verb’s glossy line is great. I love their ghost oil. It’s smoothing for summer. I use the line after swimming. RMS lip lights feel very nice and sheer out some.

That's good to hear about the RMS Liplights. My son plays hockey, so I am always in the ice rink and always put on lip balm. I am just not a fan of no applicator, but hopefully it will work. And good to hear it will sheer out. Yes, I pretty much stopped doing Mystery Bags, but the Lucky Bags are fun, it's part of my mom's Christmas gift and they seem popular for KZfaq content. Maybe I'll reassess next year, but time will tell. Thanks for watching and commenting!

I just opened my box (I’m slack, I know) and I got a unites eye brush set.. super bummed.. was looking forward to getting a new brush.. not a cheep set. Also got a surratt lip which I was happy to see until I opened it to check the color.. bring hot orange.. totally won’t work with my completion. I also got the same good molecules product, a wayne goss eye pencil, a dual eye shadow by MOB (interested to see how it is) a sunscreen by holifrog and the palette I got was the Natasha Denona retro nude… which I already have. Definitely the worst lucky bag I’ve gotten

Why wouldn’t someone who is light to medium wear the RMS red lip balm? I get that you would prefer a lighter shade and understand that Beautylish is sending everyone the same shade to offload the product, but is not a face product or lip liner. The lip color issue seems like a preference..

Hi! I got the regular box and I completely felt like they just tossed all the stuff that wasn’t selling into my box. I got RMS lip light in the same shade, Sonia G builder brush (most exciting product in my box), Augustinus Bader hair oil, Good Molecules gel cleanser, Auric duo eyeshadow, Chillhouse fake nails (they don’t even carry this brand anymore), and a Wayne Goss palette in Imperial Topaz. Also, where do you live? You said you didn’t get charged tax. I live in California and I definitely had to pay shipping and tax, making my box $95. Lol

I’m in Florida. They are in California so that is probably why they charged tax. It’s funny because I actually really wanted one of the Auric eyeshadows. Many people were disappointed with that, but I wanted one LOL. But yea, that sounds blah. At least you didn’t get Units brushes. Thanks for watching and commenting

I don't get complaining about a dark lip product in a box for light/medium skin tones. All skin tones can wear dark colors, it is just a personal preference thing. I wear a lot of dark lip colors and I am a light/medium skin tone depending on the season. If they had sent you a dark concealer than that is an issue.

Not complaining, just questioning sending the darkest shade in a line for boxes selected for light/medium skin tones. The shade is pretty, I will wear it, but my mom will not. She tried it and it’s too dark for her and this was her box. Also, it’s a dark shade that I really can’t wear without makeup. I need to wear makeup to pull it off.

Exactly this was my first time ordering and I told them I'm like you're literally giving me the stuff that you would not give anybody else because I have not seen one person get some of the things I got and also what's the purpose of having a Wayne Goss lucky bag if you're going to fill almost the regular lucky bag with half of his products anyways

What state are you in that your state doesn’t charge tax? In the past, my state didn’t charge tax either until recently. I’m assuming it’s just a law now that NY must be taxed. I hated my XL, this year I felt the regular boxes got better bang for their $$$. Love your makeup girl! ❤

So I doubled check both of my receipts and neither were charged tax. We are both in Florida. Maybe it depends on the state. I figure California is a yes because that is their location. Maybe they also have a physical location in NY. But thank you for sharing. I will make a mental note of this for next year.

So disappointed in my box last year that I chose not to get one this year. Based on unboxing I’ve watched on KZfaq, I’m happy I skipped it this year. Purchased a new palette, lip slick and bronzer from Chantecaille. Would rather spend my $200 on items I select than items selected for me.

The quad I think is like this. Correct picture but lighting is different. But the face palette is definitely the wrong picture because the shimmers are in different places.

I ordered the extra large lucky bag and they ended up sending me the regular lucky bag which I know they have a certain section that they pick from for the regular and the extra large and I sent a complaint with a picture and with what all my items totaled to which was $190 and I was like hey I'm guaranteed $300 worth of products and my bag weigh this much you can definitely tell this is not 300 worth of products and a lot of it was Wayne Goss too and I did not order the Wayne Goss bag so I wanted to send it back in them to send me the lucky bag or give me a refund well all they did was resolved it by adding more products to send out which I wouldn't have even got these certain products if I didn't order the extra large and I told them I will never order a lucky bag again this was my first year and they messed up so bad and they didn't even fix it right and I told them I'd be leaving reviews and contacting my bank to dispute it because I really just wanted my box returned and they refund or the extra large lucky bag sent out to me

Wow that is awful. Last year I was missing 2 products and they sent me them. But they were blah anyway. But this is just wrong. 2 years ago was my first time ordering and I ordered the buy one give one for $150. It was on the app and it wasn’t very clear that you were buying a regular and gifting a regular to a women’s shelter. It was clear on the website but not the app and I had never ordered before and only knew the XL was $150. I paid $150 and the full value of my bag was $150. BUT, 3 of the items were on sale, so the actual value of my bag was like $115. And it was the absolute WORST products. Several others made the same mistake as me and they got the same exact products. So they gave the absolute worst products to people who were donating (whether it be on purpose or accidentally).

"if you are a fair to medium skin-tone, are these the lashes you are going to wear?" Whoa! careful. especially when you follow it up saying they are crap. I'm not a fan of the implications. Please check your unconscious bias. The lashes are for whomever is interested in wearing them regardless of race, gender, ethnically, sexuality, class etc.

My implication is as someone who is fair, I often buy brown lashes or very thin black lashes. That is all. Black, thick lashes on someone with a darker complexion could look beautiful. On someone who is fair, they will likely look ridiculous.

They better STOP CREATING gosh AWFUL lucky-unlucky bags, stop with the good molecules, Wayne Goss, the same palettes and the same CRAP- Actual crap! The company will see a decrease in purchases for 2024. I’m a business developer & know what’s coming if they don’t CHANGE 2024 “LUCKY BAGS”. You can easily sell each item and get your money back!
