It's because they're really using the full LCD displays to cut costs. It costs more to manufacture the nice traditional gauges.

I like the previous start-up chime-it had a unique sound to it that when I hear it I know it's a Porsche! The one on the new/facelift Cayenne sounds ordinary.

This generation's steering wheel that's based off of the 992 911 is my favorite. Incredibly comfortable to grip, perfect size, and has a simple yet premium feel. Exactly how a Porsche steering wheel should be.
