As a gay man, I'm deeply FRUSTRATED And DISGUSTED by how Pride has been overtaken by radical demands and rhetoric from some within the transgender and non-binary community. Pride originally stood for celebrating and fighting for the rights of lesbian, gay, and bisexual individuals. It was about equality and acceptance in society. But now, it feels like a complete distortion. Why are we parading naked or promoting sexual fetishes in public? And why are we pushing for gender-affirming care for minors? These issues have little to do with the core struggles faced by LGB people. It's embarrassing and not what Pride should be about. Children shouldn't be exposed to this kind of agenda. Pride should remain focused on the rights and visibility of sexual orientation without these radical and dangerous distractions/ideas/themes. Leave the Children alone

Meanwhile replacing them with other's that people are allowed to disagree with for religious belief, or whatever reason it may be. It's not hate to disagree and have an opinion of other people's life choices. It becomes hate when you seek out to dismantle others. You wanna celebrate pride by all means- why push for the parade to be Canada Day Long weekend. .. How someone phoned the police about an incident like the one you are alluding too, and the police told the guy, that as it was pride, they were really not going to do anything; either investigate the matter or arrest anyone.

What a total disgrace of a channel. And you can tell they're aware of it because like true cowards they have disabled the dislike button. It's Canada day. Where we celebrate an identity we all share, Canadian. Where we raise the Canadian flag, which is the ONLY flag that matters in this country. I'm not excluding anyone because not one of us is special, we are all equally Canadian. No amount of narcissistic pandering changes that. This is just embarrassing for anyone involved.

Being LGBT is not a nationality or legal entity, yet we raise the flag in front of public buildings and paint it on our public streets. Why? Not only are the LGBT not oppressed in Canada they are clearly given special privileges not afforded to other 'groups'. We have one day for 'Remembrance day' for people who died for this country, one day for 'Canada Day' where we can celebrate the safe, prosperous place we get to live, and then we get a 'Pride Weekend' for people based on who they like to sleep with. Again, it's just embarrassing.
