Sharing my takeaway notes 📝 Matthew 16:13-17. Who do you say Jesus is? * God sets us apart as His church and as His people. * Who is Jesus in our lives? * The church is the community of believers called together for all time. 1. Jesus is the foundation of His church. V18 - On this “Rock” I will build my church - Jesus is the cornerstone of the church, the ultimate foundation. - We are secure. 2. Jesus is the builder of His church. V18 - I will build my church, Jesus said. 3. Jesus is the owner of His church. V18 - “My church.” - We are set apart people who belong to Jesus. 4. Jesus’ church is victorious. V18 - “The gates of hell cannot prevail against.” God bless ☺️
