In this video, we are reviewing our freshly harvested Sencha and Gyokuro. They are all harvested in May 2024. This is our first time tasting them. Let's review it!
If you're interested in tasting them at home, get it from:
- Gyokuro Gokou
Our Gyokuro is cultivated through organic methods, making it exceptionally rare. The cultivar of this Gyokuro is Gokous which is the special native cultivar of Kyoto Prefecture. The abundance of flavor-packed, tender tea leaves makes it a delectable treat even for insects. This exclusivity allows you to savor the gentle sweetness of nature that only organic Gyokuro can offer.

- Sencha Gokou
This year Sencha Gokou is perhaps the best we have ever produced. It boasts minimal off-flavors and a full-bodied umami. This year, the mild weather and abundant yield allowed us to prioritize harvesting at the optimal timing, resulting in an even better product than usual. Processing all the teas at our in-house factory (which visitors see during our tea farm tours and tea tastings) and carefully adjusting each step after harvesting has significantly contributed to the quality.

- Sencha Okumidori
Taste-wise, it offers a smooth and gentle umami with very light bitterness. Brewing it with hot water won’t result in any astringency, making it a perfect choice for those who are not fond of the bitterness often associated with green teas.
