Have you actually driven it? I can think of many reasons not buy other EVs. ID4 bricking while driving and on going poor software. Ioniq and EV6 ICCU issues causing the car to stop and poor battery protection ($50k battery pack damaged = totaled car), build quality w Tesla and rough riding characteristic. This car is just as good as any shines in a different way just like the others do.

@@ParzivalHB It’s essentially a Toyota so I’m sure it has some redeeming qualities. However, if you look at every metric that should be used to measure an EV, this one falls short in almost every capacity.

@@treads2595 I agree, from a specs perspective it’s not stellar but that only matters when you are reading about it. The ground clearance for a cross over SUV is better than most in this category, the X-Drive AWD tests show it’s pretty robust at finding traction in tough situations, it has not been plagued with any reliability issues and it’s supported by a strong network of Subaru and/or Toyota dealers. Kia and Hyundai are terrible w warranty claims, Tesla service can be weeks out, VW certainly doesn’t inspire reliablity. It’s a not a car for everyone but what car is? I think you’d be surprised from a driver’s perspective that it’s not as bad as a lot like to say it is.

@@ParzivalHB I completely ruled this EV out initially. Then the WA State EV Rebate/Incentive started and it allowed my girlfriend to get one of these for an INSANELY low monthly lease payment (Sub $200) - It's actually a really good car and we've found the 227 miles of range to be sufficient than we thought it would be. It helps that it's guess-o-meter is seemingly dead-accurate. Picked it up at a dealership 140 miles away, left with an 80% charge and 182 miles of project range and pulled into our driveway w/ 43 miles of projected range, 20% charge remaining. Honestly, I'd lease one for $329 a month. It's really well put together.
