Starting on row 25(2nd row in 50A), before 1st check point, I snapped off rear brake paddle on a rock and didn't realize it till it was too late. I hit a tree head-on, the pain in my chest, shoulder, back and hand was crazy, felt like I got hit by a truck, after a while I got up, put a new brake lever on and pushed through the pain to make all the check point to the finish line placing 8th.
