Super nice bike but obviously limited to track days, short commute or sunday blasts. High revs triple engines tend to get tiring after a while especially if you are canted forward. Not sure about vibration issues though.

@@c.g.c2067I have the RS, and it’s an absolute blast. It’s a beast in the twisties but looses out on bigger bikes when the road opens up. But it’s a naked, so 130’s is plenty. Trackday is on the list as well as a full exhaust, and a tune.

I have the same bike, same color and also almost the same age of 50, but thanks to Triumph today I feel like a 30 year old. I think having these clip-on handlebars is a real leap in quality compared to the RS. Believe me I would never get off the bike ♥️

I opted for the RS over the Moto 2, simply for comfort and to be honest the only thing I'd like from the Moto 2 is the Ohlins forks as the rest is identical on both bikes down to the engine, Ohlins rear shock and Brembo stylemas and to answer your question the 188kg (414lbs) is the wet weight.

@@twistandgo3414 depends where you're at. In the US, they're all over the place. Not nearly as "limited" as they thought, and nowhere near "sold out". I'm thinking they meant sold out as in you couldn't order it, but you can find it at dealers.

@@nismospec2649 yeah, they're springing up here in the uk now too, some cancelled orders etc or changes in circumstances forcing sale, but they're not worth paying over and above the original RRP, but hey, if you're selling one and can make a profit, then who's the mug? 😂 I'm too far in to mods and ownership of mine now to change it. Leaning towards clip on bars and top triple clamp for mine to make the riding position a little more prone for track use like the Moto2 version. Other than that and the Ohlins forks, it's the same bike anyway with slightly different rear ride height.

17:00 - The street triple really is a Swiss Armey Knife. It does everything, and it does everything really well. I've gone from a 2015 STR 675 RX, to a 2018 765 RS, and just got a 2024 765RS a few weeks ago. I can easily commute comfortably, hit canyons for hours, and just lollygag around if I want. It's a refined hoon machine dressed up with class. Hopefully there will be an update for the hard to read tach, I feel like my 2018 did not have that issue at all.

Smaller displacement Motos are so much more fun on the track. I wonder if one found buy this Moto2 version and swap the clips on for RS bars, and then it would be super nice for the street too

It's more involved, the triple clamp is entirely different with different fork diameters and no position to install the bar mounts. By the time you swap enough parts to put on the RS bars, you basically removed the only thing that makes this special aside from the paint scheme

New subscriber here. Triumph is quality across the board. Street triple is an amzing bike, can do just about anything well. But to digress what Im really in the market for is that RC 390 for track. I havemt pulled trigger yet as Im wanted to see if they've improved in theor durability/reliability in recent models??? They look amd seem great but if they are always needing wrenching and replacing parts I just might have to pass and go with other like ninja 400 or R3. Im going to be new to track days but am far from a new rider at 52. Thanks for any info!

I'll take the $12k version in red or yellow. Far and away the best value in motorcycles this year. Probably why dealers don't seem to have them on the floor for more than about 10 minutes. I really don't need another bike. Hopefully, one doesn't show up on a showroom floor nearby. Triumph gets an A+ this year. I've yet to hear a reviewer that had a bad thing to say about any of these.

Wpuld you recommend this bike or the rs 660 by Aprilia for an adult beginner rider?
@RemboUSMC
@RemboUSMC Жыл бұрын
That’s a very good question. The RS 660 is definitely more sports oriented, but they are both excellent trek bikes. This is a personal decision you’ll have to make after taking both of them out. I also love the RS 660.
@KellerFkinRyan
@KellerFkinRyan Жыл бұрын
rs660 is likely less reliable than this bike. if you’re cross shopping the rs660 and the street triple, the closest in terms of spec is the Street Triple R, which is cheaper and has better components. if money were no object, i’d get the moto2 version, but i think the best value of the street triples is the RS. it’s only losing the clip ons and ohlins front in terms of hardware. obviously the exclusive bodywork won’t come on the other trims.

I have two main complaints with my 2021 Aprilia 660. I'm on engine number 2, the first one died. Secondly, it takes several months to get parts. So, if something important breaks.. you could be looking at 6 months waiting for part(s) to come in while your bike just sits in the garage. Aprilia is horrible with providing parts to the US. In the 2 years I hade my Aprilia, it was in the shop or stuck in the garage waiting for parts for a total of about 9 months... that's almost a 50% downtime on a brand new bike! I would not recommend anyone to ever get an Aprilia, unless they another bike too. When it works, it's great though and Aprilia's are simply beautiful. I can't wait to trade mine in for something like this Triumph. I don't have time to wait for months and months for Italy to send me parts.

@@stephencarbajal5657 hmmmm, so I have a new Street R that I purchased last month and purchased a panigale v2 earlier this year. The RR is my favorite for sure between the 3. But the street is so so good and it’s only an R. My friend has the new moto 2 and it’s great but if I had to do it again after buying my street and I could only buy 1 I might have tested a Speed RS. If my street is this good I bet the Speed RS is perfect as a street bike. The Moto 2 is a bit odd to me with the clip one and the price vs a standard street RS. My buddy misses his 2022 street RS, he doesn’t seem to like his Moto 2. My RR is amazing I love it so much but I never been on the 1200 RS, bet it’s perfect on the street. I doubt I would choose the RS over the RR if I was buying again because of the look but I would for sure want to test the Speed RS before I would make the purchase again. But my two triumphs over my 23 Pani V2. The triumphs allllll day.
