Earlier this year when I became a part of Baker Hughes, I decided to join the Veterans Employee Resource Group to assist in the support of our military Veterans in focus areas of employment, career development, outreach, and retention. The main mission of the group is to energize and engage members in a positive manner by leveraging the valuable skills and experiences of Veterans in the workplace.
This winter I will be running in the Louisiana Marathon on January 14th and attempting my first ultramarathon in the Mississippi Trail 50 on March 2nd. This time, instead of running just for myself, I wanted to run for a great cause; supporting our Veterans and at the same time helping shelter dogs find their forever home!
