Old xs650 was a great bike but desperately needed a sixth gear to cut down vibrations and engine screaming at higher speeds.

just the hubs? lol... header pipes to nowhere, fins all crooked... at some point it morphs into a pushrod engine... but theres the odd real image of the actual bike from back in the 70s...

I wonder if the frame still has a hinge in the middle? Had 5 of the early ones and like them cept for the handling.

The pre74 bikes l found to be much better than their reputation indicated.The frame redesign made it better, tho perhaps a little behind the Triumph and Norton twins of the day

AI BS. The image doesnt even make sense. Look at those silly forks and Yamaha labels on the side covers. If they did make it it would not be air cooled because it would not meet modern emmisions.

I have my 1970 Norton 750 Commando Engine sound is symphonic Drum brakes don’t do it But 750 cc got you to 115 mph and put your face in that with no windscreen a Bell helmet and a pair of Ray Bans and Steve McQueen would be happy to ride beside you

The bike looks good apart from the engine, it looks terrible. It must have taken a lot of effort to get it that ugly. I'd much rather have the old one.

Yamaha missed the boat on this new design. They had a winner with the other XS 650 from the 70s. That engine was as close a manufacturer could get without screwing with patten rights regarding that British look. Yamaha should have just added fuel injection and disc brakes and ran with it. That would mess with the competition. Yamahas XS650 from the 70s is a better bike and design retro look. Just Sad!

It looks shit IMO, like they copied some of Triumphs trim and why call it a XS650, there's not one thing on that bike that makes it look anything like a proper XS650 and why the fk is that image of it all distorted and CRAPPY?

The hole add you show the old xs650, Beautiful Bike but what we did see of the new Yamaha its ugly as a road accident wow (road kill) MAN try again please don't wreck the BEAUTIFUL XS 650 with this bike, its properly just me but i think it's the ugly bike ever really Yamaha
